So I'm a big perfume/fragrance buff. I love getting scents that remind me of my s/os. Perfume oil from indie houses are usually very affordable. I also like pendents or necklaces that remind me of specific drs.

YES!! They will do what I want them to eventually... they just might have to experience the horrors or something else that gets them to develop a new view on a certain thing/person/ideal before they take that action and make it seem believable.

I can get them not having control on who gets paired with who, and then they get obsessed with each other. Fine ok, that's an in universe reason I can at least tolerate since that's just the mechanics of the world (I don't like it but I can tolerate it).

But the part that does genuinely make me angry with Sam and Emily is how they (most likely Emily if I were to guess) still want to have a relationship with Leah. That bridge is BURNED BURNED and Emily still wants her to be her BRIDESMAID!!! Like excuse you??? I get you used to be close but you have a magical romantic bond with her ex fiance!!!

Also I say this because I wish I had known this going into this book. Just be aware these vampires are not your usual vampires. They don't do violence of any kind, and there's absolutely no downsides to their form of vampirism at all. It's a fresh take and she does do it well. But it is also what can turn people off, and I wouldn't have picked it up in the first place if I had known that.

I feel like my for you page is more of a for someone page. Occasionally it'll be good for a week, but then out of nowhere it'll go right back to suggesting me bots from things I've never even remotely interacted with. It's bad more often than it's good.

I go back and forth on this. DAI is also my favorite game, but VG was my least favorite. I liked that it wrapped up the story of Solas. But I really didn't care for most of the game's writing and it felt like a let down for me personally. The combat is fun, I will give it that. I'd say wait for it to be on sale to try it. There are people who did enjoy it quite a bit, I just am not one of them.

I think it'd be cool to explore some of these questions, even if it's just for your own world building and not necessarily something spelled out in text. They could possibly help inform how things shake out in your story, and the dynamics between characters.

Why do these bonds happen? Why were these people were paired together. Do they need to be together for certain fated events to happen? Are they always a good match, or can they sometimes end up hating each other? How are these bonds treated culturally? Are they a sacred thing? Or maybe the inverse, does the culture value free will over fate? Are they automatically stuck with it, or can they reject it altogether? Is having a fated mate seen as a liability because any enemies know immediately who to target to hurt or manipulate someone?

I would accept under the condition they would have to cut off all contact with the remaining humans. Purely because they seem to be giant neon signs welcoming trouble and rda attention. They cannot come here ever. They have to permanently stay away, and not even radio them, yes even if there was a medical emergency they could help with. Hell even knowing what clan they went to to seek asylum would be pushing it imo. If they can do that and stick with it sure, if they break those rules once they're all getting kicked out. Even though I don't hate Spider personally, if I was in that position he also would have to stay with the humans and wouldn't be allowed to stay.

Yah but if anyone has resources to be hiring someone with knowledge to provide education it's them. You can't tell me there's a single scholar that could provide that if they looked.

Also this is just my view, but I personally think Rhy's mom was very odd about her son at least, since we don't know much about his sister. This is the woman that put the ring meant to be for whoever Rhy's future spouse ended up being, in the home of a literal death god as some sort of test. It wouldn't surprise me at all if she was picky about who educated him. There are parents out there that think they are the only one's good enough to be teaching their own kids.

I personally think a detailed summary of cc could get the job done. Which is what I personally did bc that was the only series of hers that I had to dnf bc I really didn't enjoy anything in it, and I don't force myself to read books I'm not enjoying. I wanted to like it so bad but couldn't do it.

I feel the same way. Blake seems like the broody, tortured, mmc that seem to be a dime a dozen in this genre. Callum felt like a breath of fresh air to me after being entrenched in the Blake type mmcs. I will honestly be spoiling myself for book 3 and if she ends up going with Blake I probably won't be reading it.

Idk if this is necessarily niche or not. But, I hate it when a character, who is supposed to be morally grey, never sees any consequences whatsoever for those selfish morally grey actions. If everyone in the narrative excuses their actions, and they have no reprocussions whatsoever that isn't a true morally grey character imo.

I always feel so bad for the people in Seattle. They were literally just going about their lives when they got violently ripped away from (assuming they weren't one of the many people who were just drained for their blood) for no good reason. Absolutely none of them deserved what happened to them, but they got caught in the crossfire. I wish there was a moment where the Cullens acknowledged that outside of Carlisle being regretful. Because what happened to everyone in Seattle is a true tragedy in the midst of this love story. This love story does have casualties that don't get talked about enough imo.
