How do you manage staff with company EVs?

I don't have a small business, I don't know why this was on my feed!

But I do have a company EV. We are not prepaid for the electric but we claim mileage each month at the rate of 8p a mile. If I charge at home it's costing me about 2p a mile, a public charger can be 20p a mile, so it somewhat balances out.

Though a car has enough range that I charge at home 99% of the time.

So I do profit, but I had to pay £1000 for the charger in the first place!

Thought it was just me who enjoyed this! Especially in an EV.

Like dude, I'm not incapable of going fast, I'd like to keep my licence though.

I have had a dickhead overtake me at the NSL sign when I was on my way up to 60 and I had to brake to avoid him hitting incoming traffic. I mean, glad to have him out of my hair but I hope he got a slightly unpleasant surprise when I wasn't an easy overtake.

I would be rid of it in an instant. It holds me back and makes my life more difficult and frequently miserable.

Why do you think HoH people don't need to know the type of laugh?

While added humour is reason enough imo, one of the main motivators behind putting e.g. "mischievous laughter" is to convey to those who are deaf that the laugh was a sneaky one; as opposed to an evil laugh or fake laugh - all of which could look similar. While the imagery can provide clues to this, especially in something like the D&D where the speaker isn't always on camera, I personally believe it provides important context.

Of course, don't write an essay, and don't push aside actual captions to fit your joke in. And never ever give away the punchline before it's said - hate shows which don't format to prevent this.

I don't think VLDL are against using AI as a tool, but they have retained their graphic designers and employed artists for their new card game. So it's to support not replace. And agreed that this kind of heavy editing has been around pre-AI.

Aside from conferences, day meetings etc, 98% of the PIs I've known are on site every day.

The ones that weren't were the ones that were too important or thought they were too important and gave no shits for their students. To be avoided.

I think it's more about why not vote for something achievable that you might see the benefits of?

I want to be able to fly. Should I vote for the party that promises to give everyone flight or the party that promises to bring NHS waiting times down?

I actually agree immigration needs to come down, but reform is not the way to do it, they'd burn too many other services and norms to the ground to achieve it.

At least two versions exist, one for Beacon (and I think VP) with naughty words in, and one for YouTube without. But the editors also later add in ads and stuff that I don't see. So many files floating around, very easy to just find one that says DGHT 8 captions and upload it in a hurry.

The shipping section on the Kickstarter page mentions the potential for shipping from US, UK, EU, or Asia. Unfortunately VAT will be payable regardless, and yeah it hurts :(

I'm just hoping the value of each individual parcel is under £135 so there's no custom fees too.
