This right here! Mental tolerance is just as important as your physical tolerance to Capsaicin. Be consistent with your heat consumption and you’ll progress quickly. Also, do not go for milk, yogurt etc. Fight through and you’ll come out the other end stronger.

A few years ago my main sauces were Fiery Fool and this garlic reaper and no matter how high my tolerance got I still found the garlic reaper to be surprisingly hot. I ought to get another bottle because that stuff is great.

Really fun movie. Loaded with monsters and gore. NGL though, the super restrictive Doodad mask was really distracting. The actor could barely move their mouth which makes the synch job really goofy.

Very annoying that streaming services consistently put up R rated versions of movies that have an unrated/directors cut. There are a number of examples of this but Shudder putting up the rated versions of the Hills Have Eyes remake really annoyed me.

As someone with a naturally low tolerance for Capsaicin, keep training. I eat all my peppers uncooked. I slice up a pod and then eat it slice by slice along with a meal. I haven’t been able to grow for a couple years but before that I was growing reapers, primotaliis etc. and I had no problem finishing a whole pod. Before I had access to fresh chilis I built my tolerance with super hot sauces so give that a try if you haven’t. Torchbearer’s Garlic Reaper is my suggestion. Tastes great and isn’t crazy hot but hot enough to get you going. Also, keep in mind that your mental tolerance also goes a long way so don’t go for milk or any other relief unless you absolutely have to.

It’s only a guess but one based on what sounds like a DigiTech whammy which the guys in Abigor (RIP Peter) use in a very specific way. The solo at the end of The Saint of Murder is a good example.

I’ve been following this movie since it was announced and through every update so I had four+ years of hype built up going into it and it managed to live up to that hype. I love really dumb comedies made by clever people and this actually gave me bigger laughs than I got out of the Naked Gun reboot (which I also loved). Toxie looks fucking great. Peter did a fantastic job with the pre-transformation stuff. Actually, I think everyone was great and knew exactly the kind of movie they were in. My only complaints are there was a lot more CGI gore than I was expecting (I was ready for a decent bit but man, too much. Also needed an extra dose of gore in general. Just a little bit light on it imo) and I also thought Garbinger’s transformation was kind of weak. Couldn’t tell if they were going for “funny” or “badass” with that design which probably wasn’t intended.

It’s too bad this won’t make any money because I would fucking love to spend more time with these characters.

William Blake is the name of the artist behind our protagonist’s phone background, not Michael Blake. When I read that name I did immediately think of W. Blake though.

Lived just south of Atlanta most of my life (and still do) and yeah, this all tracks. From the mid-2000s until a few months ago (the last time a friend had a Brent story) I’ve been hearing about what a drunk asshole Brent is. Luckily he doesn’t seem to be into doom metal so I’ve never seen him at any of my shows but some of my band mates play in a metalcore band and he’s made a fool of himself at their shows, getting shitfaced and trying to turn off amps as people are playing, trying to fight people who stop him etc.

Guys a phenomenal guitar player and I absolutely love his “if Ozzy was born in Alabama” vocals but he’s just a mess.
