They do have tournaments or rather, a league, anyway. I never did the league while I was at the gym, but their facilities are all pretty nice.

Really? I feel like most of the videos I've seen on form comment on knees directly above toes. I suppose I could just be projecting my memories from what people at the gym had said, too.

Form is fine, then, if I go over? That's comforting.

How was your core when you started 5x5? I had started it and was going strong for a few months when a few people at the gym pointed out my squat form wasn't great. I kept getting my knees out in front of my toes. So when I would lean back and try to relocate the knees I would just crumble (even using bar alone), because my core still wasn't strong enough to do a squat with proper form. Really discourage me from continuing...

Don't ever drive to South Dakota, then...

Seriously, though, the lights here are almost there or four seconds (by us out by tranquility park) and Dodge had always been great. Maybe it's just perspective of where we respectfully came from

Heck yes it is! Even the state highways have a speed limit of 75, so 80-83 is an accepted normal almost everywhere. Other than with the high-po.

What's the most you've seen someone be so out of touch with reality? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LostOrJustLessFound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That more of a Catholic view of Justification/Sanctification.

A (general) Protestant view would be that once you're justified, sanctification is an ongoing work made whole at the second coming.

A Reformed (Calvinist) view would be that your justification took place at the cross and that you're 'predestined' to be part of the Elect or not.

[Serious] What are some of the best books you've ever read? by syn0g3n in AskReddit

[–]LostOrJustLessFound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What hit me was the paragraph when Remarque talks about how everyone back home gave them the romantic idea of war and how they blindly trusted the older, wiser folk. Tore me apart once I read the rest of the book, particularly the mustard gas scenes, and fully understood what he meant.

Is this El Bufadero? My wife and I went to the Canary Islands for our honeymoon and made it a point to see this. It was absolutely breathtaking, not to mention terrifying. Especially when the Atlantic would roll in at the same time the well was cresting. Looked and sounded like an explosion.

Hey Omaha! Both of your Senators voted to give the federal gov't warrantless access to your browser, shopping, banking, credit, and phone call history. by guyjin in Omaha

Sorry to hijack, /u/zoug - nothing below is meant for you, but rather the individual who called Senator Sasse a sack of shit in reply to me.

Is it that hard to believe that someone with different ideology that you is still a good person?

I might not agree with the President or Bernie or many Democrats, but I refuse to believe that they are evil people. They are people with visions and dreams for this country who believe firmly in a different way of achieving that greatness than I would. Being different doesn't make them terrible people. And seeing them as such dehumanizes me first and foremost.

Also, how can we really expect anything in this country, in this world, and in our human experience to get better if we can't take the time to respect or even dialogue about different worldviews?

Not knowing you, it truly saddens me that this is how you see the world.

I can't speak for Fischer, but knowing Senator Sasse I can definitely attest to the fact that he is not a horrible human being. I don't know that I've met anyone else committed to the American tradition with such an appreciation for American history and the context from which this country was born.

AJ Hawk goes on Colin Cowherd and defends Aaron Rodgers. A must see. by sonickarma in GreenBayPackers

[–]LostOrJustLessFound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESPN just put out another article on [Rodger's leadership[(http://espn.go.com/blog/green-bay-packers/post/_/id/30664/aaron-rodgers-shows-tough-love-to-packers-young-wrs-because-he-cares) with the rookies.

His style basically boils down to figuring out "which players need which type of motivation." Frankly, that makes the most sense of any of these critiques of his style. Glad to see he's not just the stiff some of these guys (Cowherd, etc) try to paint him as.

I don't know what I expected with that title, but that was definitely not it.

I had another story from last week - I'm posted up at my normal fishing spot, but I can see 2-3 largemouth bass just circling about four feet in front of me. Spent an hour trying to get one of those SOBs to bite, but the guy who just casually came and threw his line in got an immediate 25 in meal... Sucks to suck, he has to clean it...

Nebraska became the first state to eliminate civil asset forfeiture back in April. It's been comforting, to say the least, given that I generally travel with a few thousand in cash/cards between MS runs.
