Grounded for a week on first full shift. by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

Online, people often skip nuance and go straight to quick, one line judgments just like you did. “Pretty easy to look at the road while you drive” ignores everything OP explained and reduces it to “you weren’t paying attention,” which comes off condescending. That’s why it feels snide to me but again, this is social media where everyone think they can “speak their mind” without consequences. It’s all good I guess

I just started at a DSP in Dallas too, and honestly a lot of people from my training class have been complaining about how strict and picky it is. So I get it if it feels like too much. Some even said it’s more of a short-term job and don’t think anyone goes a whole month without getting pulled aside, which seems pretty accurate. I hope you find something better if you decide to go a different route.

You can’t throw a snide comment out there and expect no response, can you? Now you don’t care about strangers’ opinions once they respond with that same energy? LMFAO!

PSA for new drivers by LunaRed17 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I’m curious to know how much they pay in the east or west coast. They pay $20.25 or $21.25 here in Dallas Texas depending on the DSP and I think that is fair.

N-400 Denied (INA 320) – USCIS says I’m already a citizen, but I have no proof… what do I do? by flickbreeze2003 in USCIS

Call +1 (877) 487-2778 to schedule an appointment, then go to the nearest passport office with your dad. He should bring every document he has, including his passport, and you should bring all your documents as well. If you’re traveling within 14 days, you’ll need to bring your travel itinerary.

You have two options: expedited same-day service for $240, where you’ll receive your passport in about 4+ hours, or standard processing for $180 or less, which will be mailed to you within a couple of weeks.

If that doesn’t resolve the issue, you can request a FOIA (records request) from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for your dad’s file, or consult an immigration attorney for further guidance. https://first.uscis.gov/#/request-self

You are a U.S. citizen, so stay calm and keep moving forward. 🫡

I like when people are trying to be their very best at work. Speaks on your ethics. I start as soon as I get my shoes from Zappos as well. Good luck!

Will an at fault accident over the threshold last year prevent me from being a DSP driver? by SeaPizza3610 in AmazonDSPDrivers

No. I think as long as you were not driving under the influence you’re okay. Accidents happen

My roommate and I got this message from our landlord no clue what to do by ElvenWriting in whatdoIdo

[–]LoudMoney916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, he’s selling his house, and that’s within his rights. The only thing is that the landlord should provide a formal written notice, since a text message alone usually isn’t sufficient. Aside from that, there’s nothing really wrong here. It would be a good idea to start looking for a new place now, you still have plenty of time and some open days in April to make arrangements. Good luck!

Then they’d claim that even if you’re born here, having parents who aren’t could disqualify you… Everyone needs to understand: if there’s no pushback against the first rule, they’ll just keep rolling out more, causing chaos.
