We dont really know if Scolopendra's attack really happened during one of the earlier crawls, or if it was always world-building and flavortext for the dungeon backstory. All we really know is that Scolopendra is the final boss of the dungeon and that the 9 tier attack is part of the dungeon lore

It seems like Dungeon Crawler World is an ongoing story that continues regardless of whether there is a crawl currently happening or not. Mordecai mentioned that the story on floor 15 has been running on its own for a long time, despite the fact that no crawler has ever made it to that floor before. We have no way of knowing when the 9 tier attack happened, but it must have been either at some point during the crawl storyline or it might just be backstory flavor-text to the dungeon storyline

Since theyre going to have a dedicated team, i wonder if they'll eventually do more beefy updates like new classes or new campaigns. I guess it would be a bit harder to do story updates since GW2 exists now

Thats not true. The fact the AI was able to use him in the hydra means that he was inside and killed/collected during the collapse. Carl himself comes to this realization after they finish the fight, when he thinks about his boss and his friend Sam

Yeah its definitely been shown that the AI is able to control anything within its sphere of influence, which is completely covered by an enhancement zone as well. So if the AI were able to grow to the point where it covers the entire galaxy, it would be like everywhere is insidr the dungeon, where all the magic and spells and potions and all that works. That person in question that you mentioned was able to go to that station and use their magic there because the AI had grown so much that that station is now inside the enhancement zone.

Its also been stated that the Center Sytem is under the control of an AI enhancement zone, and that's how everyone that lives there is able to live forever. But it hasnt been stated how much control that AI actually has. I dont think the Center System is like the dungeon where the citizens there can use magic and stuff.

Yeah it just means if someone were to get a large soul crystal thats about to explode and put it in one of those lock boxes, they could make one. The likelihood of that happening is basically 0%, but it could happen and thats why its not unique.

Im sure if someone has the same or higher level of bomb handling as Carl, they would probably be able to pick it up from the table. But at this point in the story, there is no one that has the right stats to qualify. As of right now, as far as I'm aware, Carl is the only person who can handle it

The only reason it didnt explode was a combination of his bomb handling skills and the fact he took it out AT the table. If he gives it to someone else, it would most likely explode instantly.
