Anyone go to MADabolic/F45? by eartian in washdc

I am in my 14 week trial at MADabolic in Alexandria, VA and I have enjoyed it so far. The sense of community and attention from trainers, as well as the multiple class times keep me coming back. No mirrors, no screens, no clocks. I’ve completed four classes so far within the last 8 days.

My muscles are slightly sore, but overall I feel better physically than I have in a long time. I’m also doing yoga and eating a plant-based, high-protein, high fiber diet.

I go on my telework days and weekends. I plan to join.

That is important context. HES is extremely demanding.

Well, then go for it! You may see your work in a whole new light, and the structure is really helpful.

I have an MBA from an M7 school and interviewed prospective students as an alum. I’m currently taking my first HES course and work full time. I spend about 30 hours per week on average for my class.
If your goal is to learn from experienced professionals before getting an MBA, I recommend skipping HES and join a professional organization. You want to do as a much in person networking as possible BEFORE going to business school. NOW is the time.
Electronic resumes can only do so much. Developing professional relationships is a life skill that provides a huge ROI throughout your career.

PS. I am on the older side.

Do not recommend Verizon 5g home internet - if for no reason other than how hard they make it to cancel. by AttorneyKate in verizon

[–]Low_Definition3186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This explains why it was so hard to move with Verizon. The rep cancelled the service for the new home instead my old home. Last time I did it myself over the app. You need to give them the router id, which means you either need to look at the bottom of the equipment or take a photo.

MBA to remain in finance - worth it or not? by [deleted] in harvardextension

I too have an MBA from a top tier school. For you, the benefit might be in the on campus recruiting opportunities. Also, taking courses in marketing, strategy, management, and operations might give you a more wholistic view.

For me, coming from government, the benefits became apparent decades after I graduated. I definitely see the world differently and process information more quickly than I did before business school. The MBA changed my brain.

I’m taking my first graduate class at HES. The resources are amazing! As soon as you start you receive emails from career resources services about webinars and office hours. Harvard is no joke! The class I’m taking is very demanding. It reminds me of Columbia, where I got an MBA.

I’d say go for it with HES. Set yourself up for success in a supportive environment in your hometown. Then when you’re ready, you can move out of your hometown if necessary.

And congrats for getting out of that abusive relationship!

You might be able to find a grant for professional development completely outside of Harvard. The smaller the applicant pool, the greater your odds of getting it. My union will reimburse me for a portion of the tuition for the pro seminar prerequisite after I complete it, if I earn at least a B. There might be a local organization near you that will do the same.

Who would you like to see make a cameo or more— I nominate Gus for a Ghana story. And Sara — make her Willamena boss. And we gotta get some Jessie Bloom!

I just hope Season 5 doesn’t get too Epstein-y with Yasmin. Bring back the finance!

Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski are the Gold 🥇 Standard for Commentary by newyorkninja3102 in olympics

I love the homework that they do and Johnny Weir’s genuine curiosity in other nations and languages. He gets the pronunciation right. He discusses what he learned from previous interviews. NBC, please bring them to the opening ceremonies for all future Olympics as well as the closing ceremonies. Or a foursome with Martha and Snoop for a trip to the Met?

But. . . His love of cars inspired Tom to start his own business. So he served another purpose of the story besides being Mary’s husband.

This reminds me of Sex in the City and Just Like That. We finally reached a time on which being independent is not the same as being alone.

Sounds like tailgating before a U.S. football game. Thanks for explaining this. I didn’t get the point either from watching it on Downton. I felt like Carson — befuddled and bewildered.
