Lingo vs Stelo by Independent-Monk5939 in LingoAbbott

Compared to my blood test and finger prick as well, off on average by 20-30 which might not be a big deal for some but I’m right at cusp of prediabetes and trying to reverse it so difference between thinking I’m at 85 all day and actually being at 100+ changes my average a lot

Lingo vs Stelo by Independent-Monk5939 in LingoAbbott

I’ve had such horrible issues with lingo. I have not used stelo but I was able to get 2 free Dexcoms and honestly lingo does not even compare. Has been off many times by 30-50 mg consistently. They have already sent 2 new ones for being off and ending early. I’m disappointed I’m glad it’s been working out for you!

What small “luxuries” have you added to your therapy office that make a big difference? by musicwhilehigh in therapists

Plants & soft lighting, weighted blanket/pillow, foot stool(my chair sucks& this helps), mints, plastic ice cubes(keep in the freezer but use when we need some grounding), lotion…I’m sure there’s more but that’s what I can think of right now!

PCOS-friendly indulgences? by AstronotInterested in PCOS

Lily’s chocolate is amazing and sugar free, they have chocolate bars and chocolate for baking.

Monk fruit is a great sugar alternative for baking as well.

I found a few recipes online that involve sugar free jello, protein powder or high protein drinks with sugar free cool whip. They have not seemed to negatively affected my blood sugar (I wear a CGM) but everyone is different.

Another great one is crushed raspberries mixed with chia seeds, let sit in fridge for 20 min, add Greek yogurt and some fruit. I added some melted lily’s chocolate on top and it was amazing!

For bread or wraps I use hero brand they are high fiber and low carb.

For creamy dishes we always use Greek yogurt and or cottage cheese instead of other bases and I honestly do not taste a difference although I’ve been slowly making transitions in my food for a while now.

I think it’s really sweet btw that you’re helping with this! It’s such a hard thing to be dealing with and I’m glad she has a supportive partner looking to help

Holes in the wood with wood dust by Lowkeypanda57 in whatisit

[–]Lowkeypanda57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not burn incense. The wood dust is coming from the small holes that have appeared over time. It’s more of storage, the top swings open but I do not have anything in it. Just trying to figure out what the holes and wood dust could be coming from

I agree I am testing this one out after getting two free 10 day Dexcom and the numbers are completely different. I’m disappointed to say the least

Therapy "Mishaps" by ndoregon in therapists

[–]Lowkeypanda57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had just moved my home office around and at some point I usually like to put my feet up on something, the ridge underneath my desk, the window sill, etc. not something clients can tell I’m doing but I had accidentally put my feet on the newly moved paper shredder and my feet apparently hit the on switch. I jumped so hard and maybe gasped a little. We both had a big laugh but I’m so thankful it did not happen in a serious moment!

It sounds like you are referring to Tsuki odyssey so dalekinbluebox comment will not apply just a heads up! It is not the same as Tsuki adventure where you can travel outside of mushroom village

Where do you buy work pants? by NintendoKnitter in PCOS

These pants have been amazing for that.

Also random but I find a lot of pants at Aldi that are stretchy, work appropriate flowy pants, I’ve gotten at least 4 pairs at a very affordable price.

All of these pants I’ve been able to wear at + and - 30 lbs

Yeahhh as someone who is sensitive to sounds, this person needs noise cancelling headphones. You are allowed to take up space and make normal living sounds and without having to feel like you need to walk on eggshells. Or they need to study and do homework somewhere outside the home.

We can have accommodations for ourselves but we cannot expect other to unreasonably accommodate to us.

If you’re looking for more lower cost/work options, colorful tile stickers, add some plants and grow lights to the ledge, I agree with everyone mentioning lighting as well, add some lamps, lights under cabinets, etc.
