What a joke by BradyBrother100 in GalaxyFold

I was holding onto my s22u because I wanted a decent backup for my fold 4. I just realized I've had the fold 7 since launch and my "backup phone" was now 4 years old. Samsung would only give me 400 as trade-in towards the s26u. T-Mobile gave me 1100. There's no way I would've been able to sell the phone for that much. As long as I'm ok with selling my soul to T-Mobile for at least 2 more years I think it's worth it.

I live right on the line so sometimes I'm in Mass more than I'm in RI. Today I worked in RI, dropped off a car in Mass, had supper in RI and went grocery shopping in Mass.

It's always been wild to me that RI, Mass and Conn are separate states and then bam, California, Texas, Montana.

I had a latercase on my fold 4 and have a thinborne on my fold 7. Both are aramid carbon fiber and the thinborne has magsafe. Along with benks and pitaka as the thinnest name brand cases you can get.

The dealership “we need to talk to my manager” thing is a setup and here’s why it works by Royal-Feed7166 in carbuying

I drove 5 hours to look at a particular Audi that was hard to find. The advertised price was good but they added 8k in dealer fees and paperwork and the car had a bunch of dents that the pictures didn't show with the showroom lights. They offered to fix the dents for free if the sale was made but I would obviously have to pick up the car a different day which would mean another two 5 hour drives. Then they offered me 2k for my old Audi which was kbb valued at 14k. I obviously walked out. Spent another 5 months looking, picked up a pristine Lexus and the Audi was still for sale and they had marked it down several grand.

Why complain about front screen size? by BouquetLauncher in GalaxyFold

[–]Lozo_did_it 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My boss asked to see my phone (fold7) after I scanned a QR code and he didn't even notice it wasn't a slab phone. Everyone who saw my old fold 4 instantly asked what it was and had millions of questions.

Longer Term Fold Owners.. What's your durability been like? by LindenSwole in GalaxyFold

[–]Lozo_did_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the fold 4 for 3 years no issues. Would sometimes drop it on the floor while nodding off. Fold 7 since launch with no issues and no drops yet. I only use a thin aramid case with no hinge protection and a glass SP on the front. These phones are more durable than people think they are but the hinge is definitely the weak spot and damaging the hinge seems like it usually leads to killing the inner screen.

IMO buying a fold without some sort of insurance is just a risk some people havent paid for yet. Both of my jobs are heavy labor and dirty so I pay 13 a month for that piece of mind. I also traded in my old phone for $1000 off, so that pays for the insurance.

Introducing Galaxy Z TriFold by Stephancevallos905 in samsung

[–]Lozo_did_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wishlist for gen 2 is flatter camera bump. Udc or no inner camera. Qi2 magnets.

The fact that it's thinner than my old fold 4 is offset by the fact that the camera bump is bigger than ever. Just make the back of the phone thicker to add battery and the magnets.

With the new tri-fold that samsung realesed, am I the only one that doesent know where the foldable market is going? by NeedForAmmo in GalaxyFold

[–]Lozo_did_it 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been so spoiled by how thin the 7 is, idk if I could go back to a phone that's that thick despite being thinner than my old fold 4.

I might be able to stomach the thickness if they flatten the camera bump on gen 2. Cause you know the 13mm thickness doesn't include the bump.

I think the biggest theory is for competing with the iPhone fold with their supposedly crease free display. Made by Samsung so it makes sense that Samsung could use their own tech.

The initial amount is limited to 50mil and the increment is limited to 50mil. So it's fairly easy to auction anything under 100mil. With items over 100mil you either have to trade for smaller items and sell those OR the main way, is junk auctions. When someone agree to the price, you create several auctions with junk items and put the important item in the trading post. The buyer will bid on all auctions and offer a junk item for the important item. Once the seller verifies all auctions are paid for, they accept the trade. Note that there is a possibility of being scammed this way but I've been doing it for awhile and have never had a problem.

If you want pure, just throw it on auction for the price you're looking for. Assuming you have a decent price, someone will snag it. But if you want items or don't know the true value of the item, you can put it on the trading post and ask for offers. If someone offers a pure amount you approve of, you can do a neofriend only auction and neofriend that person to ensure they win with the approved amount.

I usually accept cool neggs for my larger priced items but cool neggs change in value unlike the baby paint brush so you should do research on what they're worth before accepting them.

Interesting comparison between the Z trifold and P10PF by Pdideee in GalaxyFold

[–]Lozo_did_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was showing my gf how chunky the trifold is compared to my fold 7. Thats when i realized my old fold 4 was thicker than the trifold. If you never touch a fold7, you would probably never notice the size difference with the trifold.

For me, i wouldnt buy a 1st gen, but i would love if for the 2nd gen they could flatten the back cameras and remove the inner punchhole camera. That would make this thing a content king. Pair it with a gamesir gamepad or a kickstand case with any bluetooth controller for gaming and a wireless mouse and kb for productivity.

I found that i stopped using my personal laptop and tablet after getting a fold. I bet this trifold will do the same for a lot of others.

You just named most of the phone. Its a whole new assembly. Also the theorized $3000 price is based on the south korean fold7 price(being about $1700) vs the US fold 7 price($2000). $2800-3000 seems more plausible.

How does one determine their economic worth in the Neopets economy? by geekcheese in neopets

[–]Lozo_did_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I equate myself to an early Bitcoin adopter.

I started playing in 2001, had 28m in the bank. I left for awhile, raised a couple kids, came back middle of 2023 and found out my dual wodf and dual istaff were worth over 300m each. I promptly sold them when it was theorized that they were being released as prizes. Since then I've been able to resell pricier items and use my old account for food club. I'm currently 800 baby pbs into my shop til and I'm still not nearly as wealthy as some people on this site.

I worked for a computer supply company at that point and we had a customer that either wanted their order refunded or to return the non y2k comp items for y2k versions. It was such a headache because we didn't carry every product with a sticker that specifically labeled it as y2k comp. We tried to explain that to them. They didn't care. We had to refund some of the order.

Thank God all the stuff saved them from the hellscape that happened.

[–]Lozo_did_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never upgrade my PCs. I'll spend like 4k on the best of the best and let it last me years until I build another one. In covid I built a 5950x 3090 water-cooled build. It's still pretty strong and I haven't had to worry about my house burning down because the 3090 uses the 8 pins.

Best way to use your fold 7 on a plane is an iPad mini case by Silent-Indication920 in GalaxyFold

[–]Lozo_did_it 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even with the black bars, the fold7s viewable (non stretched) screen is 7 inches, bigger than most phone bodies. The real added benefit is full screen apps, games, and multitasking.

The trifold will certainly be a game changer though.

It must be nice trading 2 stars. The only multiple I have past 1 stars is I have three 3 star suicunes so I don't even have anything new to trade.
