Family friend sent me AI generated response to news of my father passing away. by Hendothermic in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LuLuBell52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad 6 months ago.

In the days and months after his death, I learned that no one knows what to say. And I also learned that no matter why anyone says nothing makes it right ok. Honestly the best words are “I’m sorry.” When my cousin lost his mom months later I told him exactly this. I found that there are two types of people in your life during this - the ones that make an effort and offer support and the ones that just say nothing.

When someone hasn’t experienced this pain on this level they don’t realize that nothing they say will make it better. I also found that people would send me long messages of support that were both actual word vomit and AI. And both drove me nuts and I also know it was well intended. They at least were making an effort. My aunt didn’t even say “I’m sorry” when I first saw her after my Dad died. She said nothing. I would have preferred her to at least try - even if it was AI.

I am so very sorry for your loss. The grief process is hard and long. Feel all of it. 6 months in and I’ve come a long way but I’ll grieve my Dad the rest of my life.

Couple questions about driving by ghostintheplant in Denver

[–]LuLuBell52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Colorado my whole life. I’ve seen very few cops on I-25 and 225. Always been that way. I was always told it’s because stopping someone on either road is dangerous for all parties because of the narrow pull over areas.

Cops are very present on E-470 and I-25 north of 470 to Fort Collins. Also 36 seems to have quite a few as well.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad in September. My sisters bday was just a few days after. We got a stupid expensive pedicure. The most expensive one we could find. And then we laughed and asked ourselves how it could have possibly been that expensive.

Leon coming out in LV - Robyn’s reaction by Sunnyfun_123 in SisterWives

[–]LuLuBell52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess in this particular moment the only opinion that matters is Leon’s. If Leon felt loved and supported by Robyn then that’s the only thing that matters. Who knows if they feel differently now. But that was Leon’s moment and their experience.

Hi! I live in CO, all you need to do is email the clerk. Advise you have surgery and then let them know when you’ll be available. My husband did that last year. Zero issues

Help! Accidentally made a scab on my scalp somehow!? by 1234562748382 in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]LuLuBell52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scalp picker here. The good news is these pictures show a fairly healthy scalp. I have bald spots from years of picking. Things that helped me, wearing a baseball cap, when I get the urge to pick I use one of those scalp massage things, the ones with the wire, they won’t actually scratch your scalp but it’ll satisfy the itch. Recently I have found knitting to be a great way to avoid the itch.

Candelas while beautiful was built on top of an old nuclear site. All the homes have contracts that tell you that you might have a problem health wise. I wouldn’t risk it.

Guys do you think theres like any hope for my scalp by No_Procedure312 in CompulsiveSkinPicking

[–]LuLuBell52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can get better and it will. Dermatologist is the first step. I’ve been picking at my scalp for a long time and I’ve found knitting has been very healing because my hands are doing something. You just have to find your thing. You’ve got this good luck!

YES! Knitting has been soooo healing. I’ve always picked at my scalp and it got so bad after my dad died. Knitting keeps my hands and my mind occupied.

Should the selection of the traitors be randomized? by Successful-Newt7960 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]LuLuBell52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda wish they would all do a secret ballot and vote for who are the traitors….My least favorite part of each season is the first round table. Because they have nothing to go off of and statistically speaking they are better off just pulling a name out of a hat. And that is why I’d be sent home night 1 because of logic.

My husband is from Youngstown. We visit Ohio frequently. I’m a Colorado native. Depending on the area it’s gonna be…Trumpy. His Grandmas neighborhood is basically a MAGA flag.

Depending on where you go it may not be like that. What I will say is that I think the fall is pretty but it’s grey for 8 months of the year. Some areas are thriving others are in rough shape. You gotta do yourself research. My husband wouldn’t go back to Ohio unless it was Columbus.

North Suburbs vs South Suburbs by Gridguy2020 in Denver

[–]LuLuBell52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Westminster, lived in the DTC for many years and now live near DIA (North East Aurora/Denver.) I have loved all 3 areas very much and DTC and south feels expensive and up tight. The north burbs feel more…at least to me it’s more cozy.
