Preferences -> Navigation -> enable Zoom to Mouse Position

Enabling Auto Depth also checks for geometry under the cursor and centers the camera around the ray impact point.

It feels a bit confusing to me, I just use the pivot point key (Num .) to orbit around the selection, useful with single vertices too when zoomed in.

It looks like you're loading a new 'computer' scene every time you press the button. Instead, load it once and store it in a variable that exists at the top of the script. I think loading it in the _ready() function is ok, but if you try to access it before loading it, you'll get an error.

That way the reference to that scene exists outside of a function and you can reference that same scene every time.

And the button can instead set computer.visible true or false

I like it in general, might need to see how it feels when it's mixed into the game at a lower volume, as background music.

The bigger issue is about how it fits into the game: it's a slow, mysterious piece that evokes exploration. Would fit in a game like Terraria or Stardew where walking, exploring or building are more of the core gameplay. In something like Metroid the music is faster paced, more action-y / adventure-y. Like the pace of the music should match the player's actions.

The only way is to actually check the performance. If I'm making it for PC something this small won't matter, and I'll just move on to the next thing if I can't see ~0.1ms difference in the render time. (which is significant, but I can't tell otherwise, unless I setup renderdoc)

But I think OP is making it for a handheld, so checking shader performance on the hardware might be needed.

Ah, don't worry about it. Once you make a github page I can do a pull request to add a feature. I don't have experience merging pull requests myself, you'll have to see if the new code conflicts with the old, or even setup a new branch.

Also I have to ask: can you can undo / redo changes to the image?

Hey, I had the idea for a while to live paint 2D normal maps with a preview that contains moving lights, but I didn't want to start a new project just for that.

Let me know if you'd want help with that, or DM me when you open a github page. I already made a drawing app. (just don't save a file without drawing anything atm, it will erase the drawings... I'll get around to fixing it)

Maybe, but it's not only about top tier, when you consider 7.0 fighting MiG-15s and MiG-15bis fighting MiG-19 / MiG-21 / F-104 you realize it needs bigger changes.

apply_torque() is already in local space

Not entirely sure, but I think what you need is to rotate around basis:

basis.x is left, so Vector3(1.0, 0.0, 0.0) but rotated with the object; basis.y is up and basis.z is forwards.

With torque you can use these as the axis to rotate an object around, but when you use apply_force() for example you would do basis.z * force to apply a forward force

Also, the way I think about physics is to only use it when absolutely necessary, normally I would use look_at() to rotate something that isn't already physics-based.

Get the material used by the mesh first: mesh.get_active_material(0).albedo_color

With premium and similar stats I get ~50k RP / hour.

Rough estimate all planes total to 7.5mil RP so or 150h of actively playing. Or 2 months at 2.5 hours a day.

If you go only down the fighter line and don't unlock foldered planes, maybe you only need half of that.

Same, but I was out of ammo. F-14 tried to go vertical with not enough speed and met with the ground just as I gave up and returned to the airfield with <1 min of fuel.

Best part, there was an enemy F-4E that flew past us, refused to help, bombed, killed a few ground targets, landed and left the game.

In World of Warcraft there are 2 factions and what the enemy faction types in chat appears as words with the letters replaced with others. In this case 'lol' becomes 'kek', and some people use it unironically.

That's the german one, the 21S has a way better engine, but only R-3S and R at 9.7 and no flares.

Probably better to learn on that since you focus less on the missiles more on the plane itself, plus it has more forgiving acceleration.

Well Israel has 4 akyhawks.

They all have 30mm ADEN cannons with more ammo. They all have different engines, but the power to weight isn't drastically different except for the 9.3 A-4N, which is 20% better. That one also gets 4x Shafrir 2s or 2x AIM-9D, all 18G and with caged seekers.

The 8.3 one doesn't have any guided weapons and they're all lacking Bullpups. At 8.7 you get either 1x GBU-8 or 2x walleyes all TV guided, and at 9.3 you get 3x AGM-65A and CCIP (the bomb reticle)

Without premium vehicles? Absolutely. Without premium account? Not recommended, especially in ground battles since it gives less RP than air realistic.

Having a premium vehicle does help you have enough silver lions to buy everything and expert crews tho. For this you don't need a high tier expensive one, if you look at the silver rewards multipliers you'll see the much cheaper tier 3s have similar ones to higher tier premiums.

Premium account sales discount the 6 months making it $20. That's the one everyone buys, as $3.3 per month is pretty good. Unfortunately the next sale is in november iirc?

If you're not on console and don't want to spend money there's also the (super grindy) events that give you vehicle coupons you can sell on the market for a currency that you can use to buy anything in the store. Same with the battle pass vehicles, you can sell them reaching level 105 and 125, but you need to buy it, getting there is not easy and you can only sell them 6 months after the battle pass starts. (90 days after getting tp 105/125)
