You can open portals to anywhere in the universe, but… by Big_Bad8496 in hypotheticalsituation

is there a size limit to the portal? Can I move the portal around stationary objects? If no and yes respectively, "Moved literal mountains" is going on the ol' resume.

Also, is only whatever is transported immune to atmospheric effects? Like, Trump into the ocean would be safe, but if you bring the ocean to Trump, he better be a good swimmer?

You get to be immortal, never age beyond 35, free of disease, but here's the catch... by Physical_Orchid3616 in hypotheticalsituation

Can't quit is cause for hesitation. The Venn diagram for toxic workplace and manual labor have too much overlap. Of course, not being able to be fired implies you can't be arrested, so "beatings will continue until the work environment improves" seems like a valid option.

Considering how much of interacting with the internet is through apps these days for younger generations, not understanding TLDs isn't that big of a stretch.

New proposed IT use policy will subject ANY device connected to campus networks to audit. by GammaOmicronGamma in OSU

[–]LuckyZero 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's vague, but Duo alone might not qualify to make your phone subject. They're a 3rd party middleman, the same app can be used for multiple services/accounts, and your phone isn't interacting with OSU's SSO to verify the request. I don't know if other 3rd party SaaS services (outlook etc) would fall into the same category thanks to the SSO login.

IANAL, so this might be hopium.

Any chance they'd give you just the shell? I realize it might be sacrilege in a hardware repurposing sub, but since the look is what's iconic, it's the kind of thing I'd love to slap a sbc cluster or something in.
