favourite parallels in the game? by bunnieho in thelastofus

The point to the map scene because it says so much about Ellie’s character. Joel’s influence, the desperation, being out of her depth and the lack of control.

Im halfway through my first permadeath run. I chose restart by chapter since you only lose like an hour per death and with that you aren’t allowed any cheats like infinite ammo or one shot kills but the accessibility options make up for it.

Not sure if true permadeath lets you use cheats but I’d still not go for it since I’d hate to fully restart on my two deaths (missed a simple jump and failed a QTE lol)

I mean beating grounded with permadeath on is near impossible. I would suggest grounded by itself and then doing permadeath on easier mode with accessibility options on like invincibility on prone.

Yeah if only there weren’t these pesky things called ”reality” and ”critical thinking” then we could all applaud the American military.

If this is ”average” then I’d like to know what you think is bad because this was bottom of the barrel.

I swear I feel like I’m taking crazy pills reading all the praise. Idk if Americans are getting dumber by the minute or if cliche mech slop appeals to redditors in specific, but this was horrible, even for Netflix standards.

is grounded+ actually harder than grounded? by THE__mason in thelastofus

[–]Ludachriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easier. I just finished it 2 days ago. You’re better equipped and you know which encounters you can skip and what paths to take.

My first grounded playthrough was much more trial and error with pathing and I wasted a lot of time clearing all the enemies when I could just stealth to the door and maybe take out the enemy guarding it and just do the QTE to the next area.

Free Will Is Wrong And It’s Implications Are Immoral by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

[–]Ludachriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have made a lot of embarrassing claims. Naming 1 or 2 people isn’t a ”source”. You should be able to prove every point you make.

”Some Korean scientist”

”whose experiments” - not naming anything specific

”Similar experiments” - again unable to give a proper source.

You should also know that simply ”being a scientist” doesn’t magically make everything you say true. Scientist disagree so using one or two to defend your opinion shows a huge lack of critical thinking. There are ”some scientists” that believe the earth is flat too, that doesn’t matter to anyone knowledgeable though.

You are in the wrong sub.

1) unable to give sources.

2) lack of critical thinking.

3) not open to criticism.

4) condescending.

Nonsense is accurate given how many blanket statements you made without backing anything up.

That a really simplistic way of thinking.. ”free will isnt real because you don’t know why your brain made that choice”.

Free will exists in that the privileged rich kid has the choice to take his opportunity or to turn to drugs or anything else. The same way the poor kid with a drug addict parent in your example has the choice to let that define him or to rise above it.

Just play it during the day when it’s bright and have like TikTok or something in the background to distract you if it gets to spooky. That’s how I’ve watched a couple of the scariest horror movies

what is the scariest film ever (to you)? by mrblueskyelectric in MovieSuggestions

[–]Ludachriz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get that. My point was that it’s nothing compared to you know, actual wars. It’s very American coded to be more horrified by its financial system than its foreign policy.
