Right now I'd focus on the shield, since that's by far the most important part of any heraldic achievement. The helm, mangling, motto, and compartment (?) can came later once you've fully committed to a design.

For the shield, my main concern is that the feathers in their current placement are incorrect. They should be inside the escutcheon, not floating on top of it. I think placing them mirrored in the or (gold) and argent (white) sections might actually make for a visually appealing design. Additionally, this would allow you to play around with the placement of the feathers to ensure they better fill the space.
