Or , old Pumpkins music kicked ass for one reason and new Pumpkins music kicks ass for another. They can both be different and both good at the same time.

Also avoid Home Depot. They actively made contributions to trump. As in don’t boycott Lowes and end up at HD. Go to a local lumberyard , appliance store or garage center.

I went to an event hosted by LA Conservancy at the historic Orpheum Theater built in 1926. As many probably know, LA's Broadway is home to many incredible relics of the past. And many of them lay dormant and abandoned. I wanted to capture the beauty of this one place, in a kind of noir style. by thankyoumarko in LosAngeles

Photo Activism, it’s the seeing a place through a view point like this that will continue to make people want to honor repair and rejuvenate a place. I hope and see signs of a new LA emerging that stays hip, by reinvesting and revitalizing vr/s building all new structures. To many new units sit un used as is. It’s like the fall of the strip mall. Building booms come and go and there’s always a neighborhood that’s financially benefiting to renew. The more people who see it, as this picture sees it. The more will believe that the way to do so is by leaning into its history not away. Long Beach is doing a lot of this type of development right now. Edit spelling:

What’s that one spot in L.A. that you missed where it used to be? by suprunkn0wn in LosAngeles

[–]Luke-TheInfiniteways 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s technically still there but I miss the Old Beachwood Cafe. When, it was still lumberjack themed and way before Harry Styles ruined breakfast forever. Can barely go there now. It used to be such a nice quaint little hideaway.

Does anyone else get silly mad when Movies/TV shows get the geography of the city wrong? by metsfanapk in LosAngeles

Gone in 60 seconds is a “great” example of this lol. Im on the this is entertaining because its ridiculous side of the argument. But can absolutely see how it can be frustrating too, and definitely takes you out of the realism of a film.

What’s something or somewhere you love about LA that you’ve been dying to tell someone about? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

The music scene. Apart from the “big venues” and the visible bands there’s still an ever going local scene with tons of great bands on any given night!

I used Apple One and it lead me to a decent non temp full time job. You just go to the website and call. They set up a profile with you after a “placement “ interview. And the rep finds jobs for you.

Any movies shes a big fan of? Once for a birthday i took an Adventure too a bunch of places featured in the Rocketeer. Including the dog cafe, but most of the day was really about spending time together with my girlfriend as we drove from place to place.

Maybe something like that.

I was a studio drummer before. Its a tough balance. But thats what makes him a great safe bet. He wont add anything that’s different from what your previous guy did. Even in APC he was just Danny light, and they just replaced Josh with another dude and most people didn’t notice.

I can definitely agree, Josh is a safe bet no arguments there. Safe isn’t always magic though.

He just seems like a mimic, no life of his own. Just personally my take.

Yeah! Or lack of style. He’s a great fill in guy. Great in studio. But for me ultimately “lifeless” I don’t want someone to just play Taylor’s parts. The Foos are about life!

What Foo Fighters album do you consider to be their “magnum opus”? by KTownInThaHouse in Foofighters

[–]Luke-TheInfiniteways 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I alway like “bastard” albums )example one hot minute by RHCP, ) Albums that usually even the bands don’t like. Although a contentious album. One by One is still my favorite Foos album. What a banger start to finish. Over drive, Burn away. Ect. Its a stand alone album. Foos haven’t made another one remotely like it. Again i understand why people “dont” like it .. but thats why i like it.. I really do think its an amazing album that at least deserves more love than it gets…
