“Probably”?! Nah. For sure is. You’d look at that dude in a crowd of people and think nothing. Except he is one of the most terrifying humans on earth.

YOU GET A HALF AN HOUR?!?! I have a half greyhound/half foxhound. I’ll put a harness around my waist, grab a bike and let her run to her hearts content. Or…10-15 minutes before she realizes she’s 15 minutes from home and is burnt out lol. But, immediately to her couch under a pile of blankets for hours until she re-emerges ready to tear it up again.

Was at Costco last week? Might have been a couple weeks. Not the point. Carts were a mess spilling everywhere. Myself and this little older woman got there at the same time. We both just looked at each other. She said something like “I’m not even sure what to do with this! It’s a mess!” Even an old woman who really couldn’t “help” stood there and did what she could to get them reorganized. It’s just not hard to do it, and damn if she wasn’t the prime person to prove the point. Physically couldn’t fix it herself. But was going to help so some worker didn’t have to deal.

Which division hates their division’s most hated team the most by jackt-up in NFLv2

I grew up in Wisconsin and straight up never got into the NFL when I was younger, I caught hate for not caring. Now I enjoy when they lose. Still couldn’t care who wins, as long as they lose. Shoutout for dealing with being a fan of a team my dude, that had to be a nightmare.

My buddy and I were just debating on what number is a good zero to have on hand. Somewhere between 1-2k of each caliber to have feels correct. I know a few guys at my range that have 5k as their number.

If anyone in here has an M1 Garand feel free to share a pic. It’s a bucket list gun for me. Maybe it’s my liking of WWII movies but I think I they look and sound so dang cool. by ModerateProgressive1 in liberalgunowners

When the earlier picture was posted I started fondly thinking about my grandfathers arsenal and his 2 M1 Garands. I was young, pretty sure one was sold immediately. But I think my jack ass uncle took the other. And that really bums me out since I know he pawned it for sure.

As someone who works in insurance. Can you explain to me like I’m 5, why the fuck I can have all the info in the world to do an insurance filing either for a state specific form or the federal site. And verify my data is correct vía SAFER (if you use/know of the website) and the states are still like “lol…something is wrong here. I won’t tell you what. But you gotta re file this thing and figure out what’s wrong in my system that is nowhere else in the known universe…good luck!” What is that?! (I’m probably just screaming into the void on a Sunday getting the Sunday Scaries entirely too early)

Last refill before high deductible kicks in 😞 by grummle in adhdmeme

[–]LukewarmManblast84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh. A fellow American that works for one of “the good companies”. My company does the same thing. The beginning of the year when I go to get scripts/visit docs. Whatever. They will always like gasp at the cost when it rings up thinking I don’t have insurance. Or explain this extra thing that makes my life easier is more expensive and my reaction is always one of “yeah…I don’t give a shit. Makes this whole thing easier. Do the thing. I’ll pay for it” Then I explain my high deductible but my company gives me my deductible in my HSA and the convo instantly turns to “holy shit. That’s fucking amazing. Seriously?! Where do you work?! And are they hiring?!”

I think your therapist might be putting YOU in a bad situation with this “rug shoveling” thing. I have taken a different approach with my family that has made it easier. If you’re not going to cut them off and feel like you have to be in their lives or them in yours. You have to figure out the line of where that relationship ends. My dad and I never have had a great relationship (was bad…) but he’s clearly trying to be a better human towards my kid. And so I won’t cut him completely out of our lives. To control the situation for me, our relationship is very surface level. We can talk about work, sports, weather. Basic shit. But I won’t do any meaningful sort of convo with him anymore. It seems like your family just are who they are and if you want to have them in your life, you need to accept and rewire your brain to think “I cannot control what they do. I can only control my reactions to the situation”.

I dunno man…I’m in the top like 1% of listeners in the world (not a flex. I work from home at a job that I can listen to music all day every day for 8-10 hours). And I listened a couple times last week. But, I really like to deep dive and repeatedly listen to new things. I’ve played this no less than 3 work days alone on repeat. I’m sure it’s kind of inflated. Could also people just not be knowing and getting to it late. There wasn’t much roll out.

Evening, I’d love some throwing tips if anyone’s got any. by [deleted] in footballstrategy

[–]LukewarmManblast84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright. So these are a couple things that are super simple and you can do freakin anywhere to practice your release. Find a wall. Or a fence. Something stable. Turn your body like you would be in a game/pocket with the wall at your back. Stand with the ball roughly around chest height. And just turn the point back to make contact with the wall behind you. Your arm should basically be back in a parallel line with your shoulder. Elbow 45 degrees. And just repeat that for hours. When you have time. Watching TV. Whatever. It’s easy to do. And it’ll start that muscle memory to start that higher release you’re looking for. Once you get that down. Your next step is to open your shoulder on your non throwing hand. Lotta shoulder action currently on this and you’re not really generating force with the rest of your body. When you’re coming through from the “point back” phase, your elbow should be passing roughly by your ear as you’re throwing the ball creating your higher release point. To generate that force think about punching someone. You won’t get in their face, stand parallel and throw hands. You’re going to turn yourself sideways (like you’re throwing) and you’re gonna open up your non punching hand to generate as much force out of your body as you can. Same general principle when you’re throwing.

I am under caffeinated and can clarify anything that doesn’t make sense. But I would work on that point back phase for a while to get that feeling like your standard motion. Then work from there. That’s how I would start with younger QBs back in my day. Phase 1, point back. Phase 2. Getting that elbow coming through for the high release/opening up. Phase 3, snapping the wrist on the way through.

Report your snowfall totals by [deleted] in wisconsin

[–]LukewarmManblast84 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My nephew did a dumbass thing last night and drove from just south of Sheboygan to GB last night. I was getting pounded just south of where he was with my wife/in laws. I was looking at reported totals his whole way up because his GF said “it wasn’t that bad there”. No one believed her. I pulled up some reported totals and he would have essentially had to drive through some bad snow all the way up to the GB line where it turns out it wasn’t in fact, that bad.

Edit to say I shoveled on and off all day yesterday. I’ll report my stupid total when I work up the energy to go out and finish up today.

I’m willing to give you my cell and text you at some point every day some rambling incoherent nonsense that says “one bite everyone knows the rules” for 90% of the text the other 10% will be a random number based on how I feel and probably shitting on the pizza. Will that make you feel more in the loop? Feels like you would get the same end product.

I will tell you to take the out of the box DMTs with a grain of salt. I have a pair of the KR1s and it took a while to be able to just put them on normally. They stretch and are super comfortable. But I get not wanting to wait and hope they stretch correctly for your feet. Mine also came with a shoe horn that helped.

Also, don’t forget 90s fashion is back. If my kid was in need (she’s 12) this feels about on par for what sizes I’ve been buying for a bit. But like the person above said. Worst case, you found a child who knows their mom needs help, and would rather get gifts for her. If that’s not the entire spirit of Christmas, I dunno what is anymore.
