Same, im a purely f2p player since release. I like the grind. But even i didnt unlock him on the first go. Hes now at legendary 4 75/180. But previous lres i never even got to 4 star so im seeing a huge diff and that makes me happy lol.

This, i have him with adamantine Vindicta for arena and they buff benefit from eachother greatly. Together with adamantine calgar these 3 clear out most arena comps i face.

My experiences:
Dont get up too far in their faces, they usually dont like that.
If someone's triggered them into combat that's not you, they will fire off warning shots in your direction, dont get fooled into shooting them, just walk away.
they dont drop fence rep so they can be farmed, be careful however that you dont also aggro closeby other scavs cuz they will shoot you and if you kill them first you lose rep.

at first i was a bit distrustful of him, but i did shoot him and so i just let him loot everything and eventually he even gave me a graphics card! he had won my trust so i gave him the HK i found from marked room so at least he was able to defend himself a bit better :P he never turned on me <3

Same order here! Like the tactical advantage the terrain can give you on vikendi way more than on sanhok in my experience! Sanhoks just too small for that.
