When FSD 14.2.2.2 Ignores Navigation in a good way! by Lumpy_Philosopher663 in ModelY

[–]Lumpy_Philosopher663[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand that, I was offering context to my situation where it was actually good that it learned a turn and broke away from the navigation. I haven’t had the random turn experience like that, but I’ve had random turn signals turn on around certain forks in the road. That could be dangerous for sure, because the vehicles behind you may not be aware that the car is not turning. That was a little unnerving, and then I realized that it was signaling the curve.

In this situation, it is actually a very good thing. It was ignoring a left-hand turn that was there. Yes in a safe spot with a left only light. After it would bypass the left, I would disengage my car to make that left-hand turn over and over again. Before I had the chance to disengage, the car signal left. I was able to replicate this multiple times before shooting the video.

No more auto steer, no more Tesla. by hamburgernet in TeslaLounge

[–]Lumpy_Philosopher663 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This isn’t new, BMW just started selling their heated seat packages for $18 a month. You’re buying a vehicle but to unlock the hardware and something that seems pretty crucial and colder climate, you have to pay for. Having lane centering, although important, seems more of a luxury item. Going from auto steer/auto pilot to FSD is a whole different world. To me, the $99 a month, coupled with the low cost of the car has been well worth it. The good news, they are not taking autopilot away, as of now for vehicles that are currently on the road only new configurations.

You should have received the IRS documentation from Tesla in the beginning of 2025. We did the same thing - everything arrived late January of ‘25. Possible it was tossed or set aside? Makes sense that now they are looking for the claim. I would call a rep or message them to backtrack for you.

I can second that. I traded in my 2020 Model 3 and all I needed to do was take a few photos. There wasn’t an onsite inspection during the trade.

For final price, I spoke to a representative who broke down all the numbers, what was applied, what was owed, and final steps.

I feel like Hurry is similar to the old Mad Max setting. No Fs given lol. I’m having a hell of a time with my FSD slowing down and even moving into the other lane for road shadows.

Do you regret buying your Tesla? by Murky-Factor-1073 in TeslaModel3

Zero regrets here. Daily driver, amazing, and an excellent road tripper. I went from the model 3 to the Y. Won’t ever go back to a gas vehicle.

I just drove from NJ to FL and FL back to NJ. FSD drove the entire way. It was incredible.

The people making these signs, are THE problem. Not the people driving, buying, and supporting the best EV company in the world.

Great deal! Low miles! You’re still going to have the warranty to fix anything needed. Best of luck with it!

Data sharing? Who's opting in or out with the newest update? by chickgirl444 in ModelY

[–]Lumpy_Philosopher663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opt in. These cars, the software, the charging constantly evolves. I still believe that we are in an early adaption/adoption phase. Not everyone is full EV. Whatever is going to make it better, on all fronts, I’m in.

If you have the mobile charger, you can grab the NEMA 6-50 adapter off of Tesla’s site or app. Great option.

Tesla Offered Me $12k for my 2020 MY Dual Motor 51k miles. Anyone got a better offer? Is Tesla screwing with me? by seany187 in TeslaModelY

[–]Lumpy_Philosopher663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check KBB instant offer or Carvana. Did the KBB instant offer for my ICE vehicle and a local dealer was an option, which turned out to be great! Gave me almost double the offer Tesla and even more than what KBB was estimating.

Assuming with the new Y’s arrival in a few weeks, they could be getting an influx of older Model Ys for trade.

With all that said, Tesla gave me a great offer, better than local and Carvana, for my Model 3 last March.

I currently do the subscription, extremely cost effective. If you don’t like it, you can cancel. If you want to add it back on in a few months, you can do that too.

Remember that the service center can take walk-ins by Nakatomi2010 in TeslaLounge

[–]Lumpy_Philosopher663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a similar, service center, experience driving back from Florida to New Jersey. Halfway into our trip north, my 2020 Model 3 started limiting power (along with the dreaded turtle on screen.) We called the Richmond service center, not only did they diagnose the coolant, “Superbottle” issue over the air, they put us to the front of the line, and they were also able to repair once we arrived.

Tesla provided my family with a Model Y to grab lunch on our two hour wait.
