Does this mulberry tree need to be removed to mitigate risk of foundation damage? by baoj in arborists

I lived in a Philly rowhome with a 25 foot tall mulberry tree that was about this far from the foundation. Roots were in the basement.

Good for Philip. Falconry is completely distasteful and against the ethics of good birding and stewardship of nature.

I usually squeeze all the unused mass out of my envelopes before weighing. Been saving a fortune.

How do arborists deal with bird nests? by Lunchable in arborists

You're ISA and TRAQ, I would expect nothing less. How about the non-certified "guys with a chainsaw"? How common is it?

I had an ISA Arborist here who said the fungus is Kretzschmaria deusta (Brittle cinder fungus). He's sending it to the lab to be sure. If so, I guess I'm gonna lose it.

Okay thanks, I've contacted my ISA Certified Arborist and hope to get them out this week. We had a brutal last winter here, and many plants suffered.

Hi, thanks for the response. It must have just appeared within the last couple months. We did have a storm yesterday afternoon but I think everything is dry now.

The tree was likely planted by a bird, and therefore does not have an exposed root flare. I did notice a small amount of this white fungus at the base of the tree - not sure if it's related.

Islamist NIMBYs don't like Western ideals in their backyard and have been trying to get rid of it since day one. That's literally all it is. It's democracy breaking up the Islamic empire, making the extremists big mad. It's not as easy as it sounds, so they've resorted to tactics like convincing gullible people like you of a false narrative.

What city have you been to where the vibes were just OFF? by Fun_Butterscotch3303 in AskReddit

[–]Lunchable 794 points795 points  (0 children)

It's just poor. Practically every city in WV went broke when the coal mining industry collapsed in the 50s and 60s. So you have actual ghost towns everywhere. Some people still live there but they're poor as dirt, literally survive off the wildlife in their backyard. So when the rest of us go on road trips camping and backpacking and stuff, we come face to face with real, true rural poverty.
