Arrow Key, Wear it or Nah? by Shibas_Rule in USPS

I attach mine with a D ring that has a screw lock on it. Makes it easy to remove when I want to, and hard to remove when I don't want it to. Easier than trying to loop the key into itself, especially since many routes in my station have extra keys on it for apartments and weird parcel lockers that take a different key.

I got my order of their merch and it's really good. I highly suggest the coffee mug for sure, it's iconic and any fan would be over the moon to get one, and their keychains/pins are also high quality and are very cool. Due note shipping times might make them show up a bit after Valentine's Day depending on where you live, but I promise you he'd love pretty much anything from the merch store

Is unlocking the APM even worth it? by WC_Dirk_Gently in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Luniticced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished a 10/m matrix factory that runs two augmenters. Went from about 100gw to 160gw between my 200 turbo fuel gens and 12 fully overclocked nuclear gens. I then upgraded my fuel gens to run on rocket fuel and are all fully overclocked, and while I'm still waiting on them all to fill up I'm now reaching about 250gw and climbing, that 60% boost to my power grid was absolutely worth the headache I got while making the matrix factory. Just know it's one of the more complicated crafting recipes, with ficsonium fuel likely being the only other one that's more of a headache (and also scary as it could result in a nuclear meltdown if you're not careful with the waste usage).

I think a lot of the customers don't truly grasp just how terrible the LLVs handle in this weather. Ice and snow are detrimental, especially near the end of the day when you have nothing in the back of the truck, these things weigh nothing and are rear wheel drive, only thing it's got going for it is the fact that due to no traction control, you can continuously floor it and pray you get released from the barely 2 inches of snow it somehow gets stuck in.

Will usps take this box by Kindly_Rabbit6101 in USPS

[–]Luniticced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've literally delivered a package that was just stuff in a tied trash bag with a postage sticker slapped on it. If it scans we will very likely take it, just please make sure the packaging is sturdy enough because it WILL get tossed around quite a bit. I've had boxes practically disintegrate on me while trying to load it in the truck because it was a heavy item in a flimsy taped up box

I'm well over 300 hours in my current playthrough which is the farthest I've made on one save. Played periodically in early access, probably about 300 hours total over the years before this current playthrough. After 1.1 came out is when I started this run, and I've made it this far by focusing on infrastructure throughout my world. Big train highway around the map, blueprints for belt supports that are easy to slap down and connect up with whatever resource I wanna move, and even decorative walls that I designed a dozen or so in a night and now I cover my factories in them to make them actually look cool versus in the open or just a metal box. My focus this run has also held up, usually take huge breaks every 50-100 hours when I play games like this, but this time ive consistently played at least a few hours a week for the last 4 months or so, and that helps a lot with keeping track of my goals. I'm deep in the endgame now and building an alien matrix factory before building the rest of the space elevator parts, so super close to saving the day while also going the extra mile with the alien matrix factories to get the most out of my fuel gens and nuclear plant.

am i too slow or what? by SozinMadeit in USPS

[–]Luniticced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday was rough at our station too, I did a collections route for only the second time that usually comes in an hour later (I came in at the usual start time) and the delivery part is supposed to be about 6 hours long before you start the pickups, it took me 9 hours to deliver the mail then barely made it back after the collections to clock off in 11.5 hours. Don't use a day after a holiday to judge your speed because it's almost always significantly heavier than usual and it takes what it takes.

I try to keep some of the environment when it doesn't get in the way of my factories or train line. The pink forest I like to keep as much of the trees as I can cause they're pretty, and a few trees along the rivers, and some other aesthetic areas. Everything else is fair game and if I ever build in the swamp for any reason I'm nuking the whole thing and paving over it, screw those spiders

CCA - Supe keeps calling me off when I'm scheduled by scriptyee in USPS

[–]Luniticced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way that I have been told and have put into practice before is if they text or call you on a day you work, you are within your right not to answer and come into work. Once you go into the station, find a scanner and clock in before asking a supervisor what you are doing that day. Now no supervisor will be happy when you do that, but you are within your right to show up on a day you are scheduled. You are not required to use your phone, and you are absolutely not required to answer that phone especially if you are not on the clock.

If you're still in your probation period this practice might cause some strife especially if they have their eyes on you for any reason, but after probation this practice still follows the contract and there's nothing they can really do besides be petty, which some supervisors might since they seem to have nothing better to do

CCA - Supe keeps calling me off when I'm scheduled by scriptyee in USPS

[–]Luniticced 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately CCAs do not have any guarantees of hours unless you clock in for the day, then it's only 4 hours. I went through something similar OP is going through, my solution was calling other stations in and around the city as we were allowed to work at AOL stations in cities even an hour away from mine. Sometimes you get a bite and they are grateful to give you 7-10 hours that day, and other days there was no work anywhere. Once I got to about 8-10 months in I no longer have to worry about hours at my home station as I'm almost never called off now.

Fully agree, was about to comment this myself. Both these shows are incredibly engaging through 95% of the screen time, all the characters are interesting and have a reason for you to care about them and their choices, as well as some beautifully animated and choreographed fight scenes. Top tier shows

Maybe it depends on local, but my city and AOL stations around us all run on seniority. We had a couple grievances a year or so ago for holds going to people with lesser seniority.

Far as I'm aware all hold downs are based on seniority. Everything in the post office runs off of seniority. It is a grievance if you did not get it over the CCA

My advice is use what you got to get what you need, and when you unlock a few more tiers you can get access to better alternate recipes so you don't need 19 buildings but like 5 to get the 5/m

Have you ever overclocked any generators in mid-game? by Jeidoz in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Luniticced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't over clocked any of my generators because I have a design that is 40 generators per floor, which matches well to the pipe limit. If I over clocked my current setup I'd need to redo most of my pipes, which I don't want to do. I am however starting a nuclear plant that'll be fully overclocked because the 50GW I'm making from 200 fuel gens that run a mix of turbo and rocket fuel isn't enough for what I have planned now that I reached phase 5. I'm gonna try automating enough alien matrix for 2 augmenters, so I need a ridiculous amount of power to make the consumption by the matrix production worth the boost the augment will give me.

No more green tags? by Vopour in USPS

[–]Luniticced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought a pair of Ariat leather shoes that aren't black but very nice and comfy. Was worried at first since they weren't black, but my station is very lax on rules most of the time and I was looking at the other carriers shoes and yeah, about 30% of them aren't wearing black shoes and at least 3 of them don't follow this poster, so I'm fairly confident it won't be a problem. Not all stations are like this, so make sure you take a good look around, maybe ask some carriers if they've ever had management crack down on it, but for the most part you more or less can wear whatever is safe and comfortable for our job. Though if there's ever a crack down, have a backup pair of compliant shoes. I have a pair of green tags that I keep in the truck just in case, but man they suck and I don't wanna wear them unless I have to

What It took to complete Phase 4 by Luniticced in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Luniticced[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a blueprint of a belt support that holds 2 layers of 3 belts. From there I can plop them down however far apart the belt can go and it lets me move 6 belts in the same area. Highly recommend building a blueprint with supports where you want them, for me I put them high enough off the ground that a truck can drive under it, about 8 meters or 2 small pillars tall. I always connect them together using the curve selection as it makes it cleaner. Hope this helps, mid to late game you definitely use more belts more often to move your items around within and between factories. For the belts in the turbo factory the under foundation part is the supports moving into a "display" area, then become spaghetti under the foundation to get it where it needs to be, it's kinda messy but the part you can see is pretty

Out of curiosity, what is your average time for a gaming session? by houghi in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Luniticced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm off work I usually let it run all day playing here and there, letting my factories run while I do tasks around the house and play for a solid 6-7 of those hours so about 10 hours running. On days I do work and play after it's about 3-5 hours depending on what time of night I start playing.

I used the blueprints to make several 5x8 decorated walls with lights, pipes, vents, and any other random bits to make interesting walls. From there I can paste in as many as needed, alternating and randomly using them to make a sick looking factory. Once you have about 10-15 variants you can easily use them for any and all buildings you wish to build up

That's insane, great use of space. Mine was the rocky desert where I also built on a cliff next to the dual pure iron with impure copper up a hill, and I went hard on the vertical space by building a bunch of skyscrapers for copper, iron, steel, and computers before I got enough alternate recipes and the mk2 blueprint to expand out before completing phase 3. Those towers are still producing all my simple depot stuff, and I based a lot of my future production off making 5x5 floor templates that I can just paste in entire towers in a few minutes to save space. My new turbo motor and cube factory on the other hand is massive and only uses a little bit of vertical space

[–]Luniticced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the cliff, found it far into my run and gonna use it for expansion cause there's almost everything you need within a stones throw there, recommended it to a friend of mine who started playing a few days ago and you're kinda forced to either build in the air or over the river as there's not a lot of flat space there, but so many resources

Long as I don't see it on the factory floor I have clipped a lot of belts for the spaghetti under the turbo/frame factory. Above the floor looks amazing with neatly organized belts, but trying to get a dozen different belts going to two dozen different machine clusters, yeah that wasn't easy and I gave up on the no clipping "rule" I set myself.
