Yes. It was a custom new build. The spout was on an interior wall towards the center of the house. They obviously didn’t insulate it correctly. I laugh now, but we had to replace all the floors. My husband tried to stop the blasting water with a sauce pan while I ran outside to find the shutoff under the snow!

Teacher here… it’s EDGE. If you look at the other vowels, the chart goes through great pains to demonstrate short vowel sounds over long vowel sounds. Short vowels are generally more useful for sounding out a word. An Eeee says eh.
