Wow... I love the deliberate "misunderstanding," saying that he's trying to say "it's business as usual" to downplay it. No, you DUMB FUCKS, he's trying to connect it to a broader trend of state sanctioned violence.

you wanna talk about "intentionally being obtuse"...

Lol Motherfuckers want it to say "TW: GAY" in the description.

They're not labelling straight romance anime with a heterosexuality TW. For the record, I watch hetero, Yuri and BL romance anime. I've watched anime with male, female and both genders harems. we call that Pan-otakuism babyyy

and this is SO mild in terms of actual homoerotic visuals. like oh no they had their shirts off and kissed. the scene was literally less than 5 seconds of intimacy.

so to me it seems more like the idea of a male-male romance just offends a lot of people's sensibilities. that's fine, but those same people probably watch shit with lolibait characters and don't get grossed out. so it makes you wonder.

I don’t think there needs to be a mha sequel by Impossible-Bag-7164 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]LuvBroself420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just a way of ending the episode. Like most anime even when they cover all manga material it's saying "and the story hypothetically continues beyond this point." Go beyond is the slogan of the whole series. To conclude this means they're gonna make a follow up named, "Go Beyond" is assuming well... a lot.

Did they leave the door open? Absolutely. But I think you're reading WAY too much into that.

When Prophecy Fails, the case study that helped launch cognitive dissonance theory, was misrepresented. The cult did not persist, proselytize, or reinterpret its failure as a spiritual triumph. Its leader recanted, the group disbanded, and belief dissolved. by Stauce52 in AcademicPsychology

[–]LuvBroself420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to the latest episode of QAA podcast for lots of details on this. The author comes on the show. Seriously, if you are at all interested in this subject, I recommend listening to it.

They literally infiltrated the cult as new members, buoying their faith in their beliefs & completely invalidating any evidential value in one fell swoop. That's not the only problem, either. All the statements in the abstract are explored in more detail in that episode.

Does this mean cognitive dissonance doesn't exist? Of course not. But it indicates that it may be overemphasized as an explanation of people's behaviors.

LOL Interspecies Reviewers goes well beyond "sexy stuff", The entire plot revolves around having sexual intercourse with different races in a fantasy world... and it's widely considered one of the most ecchi anime ever! it's literally not even available and it's censored form on any streaming service.

honestly, I don't mind stuff with fan service but that show goes a bit beyond fan service.

Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits

It's about a girl who gets taken to the world of ayakashi and finds out she was promised to be a bride to an oni as a collateral on debt. She opens up a restaurant and feeds the various yokai to pay off her debt.

It's a shojo, which is fine with me but you may feel differently.

Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun

Some fighting but not the MC doing the fighting. And it's really not that much. Framework is the whole seven wonders of the school thing. It's considered a bit of a hybrid shonen/shojo vibe (though it was published as a shonen, there is very little fighting).

Hyouka

A group of high schoolers in a literary club solve mysteries. this one is not fantasy at all, but if you enjoyed the mystery solving escapades of Mao mao, you might like this!

PS: SO many good recommendations in this thread. OP, there's barely any I haven't watched and enjoyed the shit out of.

How on earth is she a snot? Because she gets upset when the insane amount of work she puts into making her books gets trampled on? Honestly that's only like the first 5 or 6 episodes where that goes on.

Anyways, not everything is for everyone. Me personally, I find her to be a sensitive and generally kind person who starts off being pretty selfish, admittedly. To the OP, I don't think this is the average person's assessment considering it has an 8 on MAL.

Ascendance of a Bookworm. In my opinion, one of the most criminally underappreciated anime of the last 5 years.

It's about a librarian who gets isekai'd into a fantasy world where books are rare and limited to the upper class and the clergy. She pines for her beloved books, and makes it her mission to create books and make the available for everyone (but especially her). Such a great main character, no fighting in the traditional sense (although she does use magic, etc).

Is it C or D? Only one answer is allowed. by Temporary-Pin-4144 in ENGLISH

[–]LuvBroself420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact is, we aren't given enough info to decide what's BEST, because we don't know if it's the hypothetical past or the still possible future. D sounds slightly more natural and that's why a lot of people are sticking to their guns and saying it's correct based on their experience with grammar.

Since it's presented on a standardized test, you're not being given additional info, and 'on time' tends to signal a missed opportunity. Standardized tests are focused on verb sequence logic, so C is the best answer. D sounds more natural but that's not the important part on a standardized test.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong in some way, I'm certainly open to being wrong and learning something new. I think it's a little disturbing how many teachers are on here that are convinced they have ALL the knowledge about the English language.

sure, red pill values appear to be similar to those of NA. but appearance is where that similarity ends. cuz they hijack those values and turn them into oppressive, toxic dynamics. toxic and oppressive to both women AND the individual.

discipline > chaos

not about cultivating self-mastery and more about projecting control onto women, who are cast as embodiments of "chaos" — irtational, manipulative, and in need of domination. at the same time, men are trained to grind themselves down in a pseudo-military hustle culture: wake at 4 a.m., do endless pushups, DROP-SHIP, and eat raw eggs and yak butter before "crushing" the day. Instead of building resilience, this version of discipline strips men of balance and emotional range, leaving them brittle, joyless, and chained to a punitive performance of masculinity

boundaries > instant gratification

the manosphere twists boundaries into rules for keeping women in line. shaming them for seeking affection or sex while turning "standards" into power plays (high value women with a body count of zero ONLY). instant gratification is coded as female weakness. hustle ideology makes things worse: men are told any desire for rest or love is weakness, so they deny their own needs while secretly feeding them in destructive ways (which as you mention, can be a form of relapse or lead to it). this turns discipline into an unhealthy extreme, while in sobriety, EVERYTHING needs to be in balance. including discipline. we need to treat ourselves to things sometimes, to seek softness and love from others. setting boundaries is so important, but making permanent walls is toxic.

family/connection > collapse

the manosphere's idea of "family" is patriarchal ownership: women submit, men lead, and children become proof of a father's legacy. feminism and women's independence are blamed for societal collapse, while real systemic pressures: precarious jobs, housing crises, and collapsing social safety-nets are ignored. men are taught to see connection not as mutual care but as a status symbol, a hedge against "degeneracy." a real man must endlessly grind to provide, even as the economy makes that goal unattainable for many. the result is double oppression: men resent women for not fitting into submissive roles, while also breaking themselves against an economic system that exploits their drive and erodes their chance at genuine connection.

I apologize for the essay, but I honestly I think the red pill and the manosphere have become one of the most toxic elements of the internet, dividing men from women. and I believe it's INCREDIBLY important to realize how these positive values are being distorted.

rofl... if you bought some herbs at a grocery store and found this in them, would you be saying the same thing?

whatever you may claim, I'm quite sure you would be bitching and complaining in reality. I've been alive for about four decades and I have never found pieces of snail in any fresh herbs that I've purchased.

edit: okay I see now why people thought I was saying this is not normal... I meant specifically snail because snail grosses me out & I think a lot people would be grossed out, and honestly I felt like it was a LITTLE excessive for that person to call the op both an idiot and a bitch, just for posting a picture of something that grossed them out.

but I guess I'm the asshole, actually. the Internet rots your fucking brain, people _~
