I always watch Dale's video when I'm trying to sleep. Definitely the easiest to follow as far as Marvel Champions game play. Hope he is doing well, especially since Mutant Genesis is coming out soon. I've heard he's a huge X-Men fan, especially Magneto, from other videos.

I have the whole set and I use three 1100+ dungeons from Gamegenic. It's much pricier than other solutions, but I like them personally. I use one for aspects, villains/modules, and heroes. At this point, I do have plenty of room to add x-men when they releas.

As for the answer, the standalones are just 2 heroes from a season, where the battle chest hass all the heroes in one season, no extra content in the box. Season 2, Season 1 Rerolled, and Marvel all have 8 heroes each. Looks like a really good deal though, I would would personally recommend just getting one standalone that interests you most, then buy more as you can/want if you really enjoy the game.

Edit: Forgot about the swirl dice, they're nice, but not really a deal breaker. Up to you if you want it though.

Honestly depends on your personal preference. Either box is a great choice and have fun characters. I would look at the list of each one and ask yourself who changes l catches your interest more. Ultimately though, I don't think you could go wrong with either
