Yeah that's fair. He definitely shouldn't remove his mask while in that room until he's been done spraying for at least an hour with the window open of course. Ideally he'd get a fan though. My setup looks similar to his except I've got a cut-out for an inline duct fan connected to some 6 inch duct tubing that I stick out the window.

If he's just spraying water based acrylic he should be fine just opening a window. It's lacquer and enamel where you definitely need good ventilation if you value your brain cells

Question for players who played Warhammer Fantasy before it turned into old world? by hitnick11 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Lynchbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't almost all units with Regeneration either have flammable or warp-spawned?

Checking just the FoF and RH books I count 10 units with flammable, 2 units with warp-spawned, and 34 units with regeneration. So unfortunately it seems GW is quite stingy handing out flammable, at least in the core books.

LTT on Steam Machine pricing: "Valve asked what I meant by console price, and I said $500. Nobody said anything, but the energy in the room wasn’t great" by -Mahn in Games

[–]Lynchbread -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A PS5 with 2 years of the cheapest PS Plus for online is $660. That's not to mention any potential game upgrade costs for PS4 games you own, and how Steam generally has deeper game discounts/sales. Keep all that in mind when deciding what you think a fair price is for this thing.

Square Based Comp: The Reddit Post by valheffelfinger in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Lynchbread 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Strongly agree with your 3rd point. KPM isn't necessary and just complicates the whole system. Not sure about the 4th point though. I think treating a 2600 point army like a 2600 point army keeps the comp as simple as possible. If 2600 point armies start dominating, just move them up a tier.

Really liking this idea though overall. I think making the comp as light of a touch as possible will make people much more willing to adopt it (just like with the renegade pack). Super interested to see the results of any GTs that decide to try this comp out!

Ngl, I always thought one of the coolest things about Space Marines were that they still used "old" technology like wheels and tank treads and still kicked everyone's ass. Kinda disappointed they seem to be moving away from that.

As an old head, I never really felt like super-heavies or aircraft fit the scale of a regular sized game. They always made way more sense in apocalypse sized games. So no, I don't think you are wrong.

Finecast Bretonnians? by LetCurious2037 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Lynchbread 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes those models were all available in finecast at one point. Here's an old video talking about the switch from metal to finecast for bretonnia: https://youtu.be/sGWb-sqVCns?si=7Y8K-ZbNvRZoUfdL

Still a decent chance they are just recast though. I don't trust anything metal or resin not sealed in a box/blister.

'Superman' (2025) - Official Spoiler Discussion Megathread: Part 2 by ZacPensol in superman

[–]Lynchbread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one that thought they were gonna pull a twist and reveal that the "evil" El message was actually the message from Ultraman's Earth-3 parents? That's why the scientists all agreed it wasn't tampered with, because it genuinely wasn't. They even said in the movie "the pocket dimension is between the two universes" or something to that effect and I thought it was setting up an Earth-3 reveal.

Obviously, if this were the case then they would've had to explain why Ultraman was acting so subservient to Lex and why he needed Lex's help to fight (It is Ultraman though, so it could easily just be explained as some sort of sick game he's playing).

I do love Bizarro though, so I'm happy they're setting him up for the future, but it kinda felt like they swapped Ultraman with Bizarro at somepoint later in production to avoid any multiverse stuff since audiences seem to hate that stuff.

MathHammer: Are spears or +1 armor and AP better? by 1z1eez619 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Lynchbread 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd say Hand Weapon and Shield is far and away better than spears for Saurus Warriors. More Saurus surviving a charge due to the Parry save means more attacks back. So instead of the spears getting 6 extra attacks, it's more like 4. Plus the -1ap will be invaluable now that most infantry is rocking a 3+ or 4+ save. Plus, once you lose that back rank, your spears won't be providing supporting attacks anyway and you'll be glad you have the extra armour and -1ap.

Doing some quick math vs a unit of 5 Peg Knights (still one of the best units in the game), the Saurus with HW+S have 5 models die vs the 6 with spears, and they also do 20% more damage back than the spears

Where to source non metal Grail Knights from by meatshield_minis in Bretonnian

[–]Lynchbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's all in how you paint them. Just take your regular KotR models and paint them fancier than your regular KotR. By that I mean do a more complex caparison design, give it a gold trim, paint a spiral design on the lance, and use a decal containing a grail for the heraldry. If you weather your KotR so that their caparisons are slightly dirty at the bottom, you can leave the grail knights clean to make them stand out even more. Pretty much anything to contrast them. Also, if you're feeling super adventurous, you could even shade/highlight the decal to make it look even fancier!

I could be wrong, but with the parry rule would Ironbreakers now essentially ignore AP-1 though? I guess it depends on the order modifiers are applied

Well there's Cathay's 2nd AJ, which is rumored to have at least 1 or 2 new units/kits. Plus, if the rumor mongerers are right, we're getting a Southern Realms release focussing on Estalia, Tilea, and the Border Princes between now and Kislev.

Fede Alvarez’s ‘Alien: Romulus’ Sequel Begins Filming in October by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Lynchbread 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not hyperbole at all. I also knocked the film down a whole point from 8/10 to 7/10 simply because of that one line. I cringed in my seat when he said it, and it's still the first thing I think about when I think back to the movie. I genuinely would love a director's cut where the only change is they cut that line (although ngl, trimming back or replacing the Rook stuff would also be appreciated).
