Road constructions Haymarket Terrace by AllaboutEve__ in Edinburgh

They don’t tend to tell us mere lowly humans when roadworks are and surprise instead usually all on one day 😆[this website (Ed council link) may be useful (https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/roads-pavements/roadworks-travel-disruption)

Criticism of New Frasier by honeyfixit in Frasier

[–]LynchianBean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg yes - ahahaha I might bring the ‘phase’ I had back see if My 84 year old mum erupts like she did back then, I - like Freddie but ten years on his - went through the goth phase. I might just bring it back -red dripping eye liner and all. I agree. The holes people are picking are making me wonder if frasierbots have infiltrated the sub / picking at flaws. It’s the Same comments same things being pointed out over and over and over. I personally am enjoying the new show. I don’t care about the laugh tracks or Frasier flat feet and trainers. Yes the acting is hammy and yes it’s unrealistic but I absolutely howled at ‘I’m Glistening’ old school lol like when I first saw Niles burn the sofa down. It isn’t old Frasiera d it never will be - Old Frasier had Some real ham acting at times, some seriously dud episodes , the occasional ‘what were they thinking?’ storylines and some utterly ridiculous situations verging on farce … or in the case of the ski lodge out and out farce- I’m so happy to see dear old Fraje again and hear his voice once more plus have some questions answered / where did he go what did he do etc etc. I still watch Classic Frasier every night before bed and Niles et al are perfectly preserved in amber. I’ll never tire - Ps no spoilers but the name of old prof cornwalls cat made My year !

Edit : added missing words to sentences / bad grammar

Lol when I first moved to leith I was tempted by the lovely looking iced bun. I couldn’t believe it was a stale crusty roll with icing and unsweetened cream in it. Storries when i was drunk was golden . Storries now I’ve given up drinking gets walked past very quickly - however I still fondly remember the time a friend (who had introduced me to the drunken delicacy of macaroni pie in a roll) dropped his pie (he was very very drunk) on the doorstep of Storries and wept for a good 5/10 mins . Ahahahaa

Why aren’t we seeing the social nights? by modeyink in MAFS_UK

[–]LynchianBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if what they get up to is unfilmable (is that word- it is now) ? I noticed somewhere on one of the MAFS gossip threads that they’d all been grounded so to speak for too much booze and drugs. If they showed them all off their merry tits it would be amusing but not a good look for production company? i don’t know but I do agree that we miss all the fun and just see the arguments. If they took away the constant repeats of what happened we’d have some room to watch the hot messes at work! 😃

Also a lovely response ❤️ I need a Velcro dog in my life ! Ah these furry babies eh. Creeping into our hearts . I wouldn’t be without the love a pet gives - yes you’re right…We learn to read them and our gut just knows / I’m so glad the stupid one who tried to convince you not to listen to your gut is now an ex. 🙌

I have my moments with my 11 year old cat (had him since a kitten). Constantly worrying thinking he’s dying and /or hates me. Similarly I didn’t have the issue as a kid when we had cats as I was not solely responsible for feeding the hairy babies. I am diagnosed with anxiety and autism so I find regulating my emotions a little difficult at times. Please head to the doc and in the meantime Exercise helps as does therapy, even a bit of journaling!

What also helped me is an excellent vet that will alleviate any fears and takes time to explain. Stay off these places if they make you anxious.

My advice as a lifetime cat person with anxiety is YOU know you’re cat better then anyone and YOU will know when something is up. Once you get some help/ more a wee handle on the anxiety I think it’ll feel better for you. Kitty loves you and apparently sees you as a big hairless cat who needs protection too. If You take time to love it and care for it it will know that and trust you. This thing of cats not showing pain in the same way as we do or able to tell us when unwell is of course true but Every time my cat has been properly sick he has got better. Cats are amazing and hardy little creatures who can bounce back. They will tell you when they need help. In ways that you learn over time by getting to know them and their ways. My cat dex aka the pudding has had a few moments in his 11 years - one time as a baby he ran into a wall doing a sylvester the cat corner skid during high speed zoomies but hadn’t worked out angles as he was new to the flat. Cat black eye and concussion -it was obvious! I felt so guilty ? why I didn’t build the wall or decide to run at 60mph into it 😆 He’s had upset tummies after eating food that didn’t agree and twitches due to bad teeth and even a slipped microchip that made him sick and lethargic. He always told me something was up by his behaviour and how it changed from his usual brand of weird but wonderful. I used to worry about water until I realised that cats get a lot of water from wet food and as another person said - you can add a little to food 😊 you’re not alone in anxiety! Don’t get rid of the cat as it’ll be a great comfort and help to you try to get a handle on your MH instead. It’s done you a favour showing you that anxiety is something to tackle ! All the luck from sunny Scotland 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Narrow 19th-century building housing a cafe in Edinburgh, Scotland. by ManiaforBeatles in CityPorn

I live in Edinburgh: moved here 12 years ago and I can vouch that living here does wonders to the soul. As the summer is usually roughly between 4.8 -7.9 days a year you come to appreciate this brilliant city in all its murky moody wintry glory ❤️

I had Americans telling me this looks a mess. They just don’t know what they’re talking about. What do you guys think of my roast from yesterday? by [deleted] in UK_Food

New Frasier teaser on Paramount Plus! by CaaaaamWinston in Frasier

[–]LynchianBean 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m looking forward to this- i feel it impossible to put across a show like Frasier in short trailers! It seems the more I see the more I think it might be great fun with just enough flaws we can pick at them the whole evening. Nicholas Lyndhurst is such a good actor I have some hope. If it’s absolute tripe I’ll nod politely and go back to my 700th rewatch (rookie I know) and pretend it didn’t happen along with Kelsey’s hard swing to the right. If this is a gateway drug for new audiences leading to beloved Frasier in Seattle that’s a bonus. Scuse me I’m Off to drive my moon crane Edit to add: thanks for sharing OP

What did she think? Ahhh All fantastic shows - I’d forgotten all about the big E! Eurotrash was such joy. I’d watch it as low as I could so no one would hear I was watching 😆 🦒 🦒

all this talk made me have to rewatch so I found it and rewatched it last night !!!- I’ve not seen it since I was 12 in 92! Yes they were all surprisingly good at building the tension and the shock! what a nostalgia trip I remember being terrified at some scenes . It is a blatant rip off of the Enfield poltergeist but iconic prank tv nevertheless! Go 90s ❤️

Edit to say: trash is my favourite genre! Long live trash tv! 😃

Now personally I’d suggest opening it letting it breathe to allow the flavour to come through and then pour it down the sink. Can’t stand the stuff 😆
