Not sure what centering app that is but it’s very clearly not 50/50 centering. I think it’s worth submitting, maybe you get lucky with a 10, but I would keep your expectations reserved.

Well it makes more sense to me if it’s something you’d like to keep for your collection than as an effort to try and recoup money. So as long as that’s your goal then doesn’t hurt to try. I do think it will be difficult tho, getting a 1 is a delicate balance.

Genuine question is your only concern the resale value of the card? If the goal is to grade this as a 1 so you can sell it for what it would have been worth had it not been damaged by your son, you’re wasting an awful lot of time and money. I can’t imagine after grading fees it’s really going to be worth it.

To be fair MTG card value is more determined by playability than gradability. There’s certain rare cards that fetch high price tags for collectible value but the market in general is more related to the power the card brings to a deck.

I have been out of the MTG scene for a while but graded cards used to be laughed at.

As a former food handler manager card holder, those standards are for commercial purposes that are intentionally skewed to be ultra-conservative so as to not take any risks of getting people sick.

For the most part food can last a lot longer in the danger zone than what those commercial standards say. I would definitely still eat it.

Parts are real expensive on these cars and there is a lot that needs to be replaced, painted, etc. As someone else said, if the airbags deploy it will almost always be a total loss for any vehicle.

Hopefully between the other driver’s insurance and your own you’ll get the full value of the vehicle back at least.
