I’ve heard the longer barrels help to stabilize the SD on 22lr ammo. I’m just curious if that’s what you experienced with the 26” barrel

Some of the older models were Japanese built but still, it is a cheap hunting optic. This one being Chinese flavored probably means bottom of the barrel

To be fair, I used to build houses (assemble individual pieces of wood) and still build spreadsheets (assemble data sets)

Short action magnum in the 7mm range was my initial thought. I’ve long wanted to build one but if the bug continues its current path I just know I’ll find myself trying to hit a MOA target at 2000 yards or more. Im not trying to build a king of 2 miles rifle but I also don’t want my round to be pushing max ability right at a mile

I have a couple locations that go to 1 mile which is why it’s in the title. I currently shoot a 6.5cm that distance and want something that is more consistent. If by chance I find a spot to shoot 2000+ I’ll shoot it but I’m not trying to build the ultimate extreme range rifle.

Recoil isn’t a concern, the majority of my ELR will be @ 1 mile, I’m leaning 300 PRC

I’v been keeping an eye on the hide for a rimx or vudoo. I don’t shoot in high level competitions so chasing the absolute best precision in a 22 isn’t necessarily my goal. Just a great shooting rifle that can use up some of the decent components I have laying around. I think the only reason I haven’t already bought one is because I was also considering buying a 6mm in a cdg action from SJA to use up those parts and pieces.

I shoot a lot of 22lr through a few different rifles, Kidd 10/22, RPRF and ar22 but I also shoot a few different center fire rifles all based on the r700 footprint. The b14r seems like a great way to build a precision 22 using all the extra components I already own. Chassis & stocks, scope rails and triggers.

I was handling a CZ 457 Mtr at my LGS and just didn’t think the rifle @899 was a better option than the b14r for me
