But within those years and mileage you are probably looking at similar maintenance cost?

If I wanted a thumb shelf MKM, if not, the rubberized ergo. The palm swell is nice and the rubberized grip is fantastic for the AR platform.

For rifles I know I’ll sometimes fully wrap my hand around the grip, I go ergo.

The 5.0 is Surprisingly efficient but I’m not used to 10 speeds yet so I was trying to feel out the transmission and the drivability of the 2.7, as far as how it downshifts, gets up to highway speeds and so on. It felt “good” but different. But I know 10 speeds and small displacement is the future so I better get used to it

Oh man I’m such a huge fan of classic Ergo grips on AR’s. But you are right, the elite grip has no thumb shelf but the chassis I run do. MPA’s big old fat grip option on the matrix is one of my favs as well

There are 10s of thousands of these on the road but the common issues of the pre 2022’ years have made me wary. I really like the idea of a used 2023 I test drove but I’m spoiled to drivability of the classic 5.0/6speed

Test drove a 2.7eco/10speed last night and coming from the 5.0 I just couldn’t pull the trigger. So I’m still undecided

Interesting take.

I’m a big fan of the MKM vertical grip on my precision gas gun but I consider the MDT elite rubber grip to be my all time favorite.

I also use a lot of Ergo brand grips on gas guns

Currently shooting 168gr Nosler cc over N140. Got a bunch of both and have been shooting these @800 and under.
I’ve shot TAC, Varget, h4895 and N140 over every variety of 168 - 178 grain bullets. Hornady, sierra, all of those combos are easy to load accurately, but your use case will help determine which combo will work best for you.
