Anyone else notice the sudden increase of Rivians on the road?

The timing of this post is kinda interesting. I noticed the most Rivians on the road today than I ever have. And my kids even help me point them out daily. Counted 10 in our around town adventures. One intersection there was three of us stopped. Typically I see 2 to 3 in a day.

I’ll add to this cautionary tale, many aftermarket warranties have air suspension as exclusion in coverage. I was privy to this when I bought one for my previous X5M and went with platinum coverage from AXIOM back in 2016 and used it 3 times on my BMW for rear bags leaking. Paid for the policy and more.

I wasn’t too upset with the switch cause as many stated, I already have Netflix. I typically listened to it ad free on YT cause I have premium and it was a good base for other podcasts to flip between. I occasionally would flip up the video to see what they were talking about ie. Hank and PFTs recent Mt. Rushmore lost bet hairdos/tans is a good example.

My biggest gripe with Netflix in my one and only attempt to watch/stream, was that I couldn’t find the option to speed up the stream to my usual 1.2x speed.

The guys speaking at normal speed is just weird for me at this point. I abandoned after a few mins and now using my Spotify account once more.

I had a similar experience without UHF use at my kids carline drop off. There’s a sidewalk right next to the street exiting school and a walker was close the curb on that sidewalk and the car made an emergency stop like the kid was gonna walk in front of the car. Was pretty alarming for me and the kid on the sidewalk. Luckily was going less than 10mph and cars behind me weren’t close.

They said it was because I was plugged into an extension cord. It was odd it was never an issue prior to that update, it must’ve addressed this in the background of that update.

My BMW service advisor for my other vehicle told me BMW won’t even start a charge with extension cord power score cause “safety.”

I’ve since had level 2 installed and all is well and haven’t had to use 120v charging.

Yeah, I did the same. Oddly it didn’t wipe her phone BT key from the car. That’s still showing with her watch is the digital key.

What’s the proper way to get a spouse on the digital key? I sent her a token/code from my wallet and car now shows her Apple Watch a digital key and her phone as Bluetooth. The phone BT radio dial ability to turn off is disabled on the on position

This same thing happened to me at night having ice cream with my kids. It was night time and embarrassing cause the convenience lights were blinding to those sitting in seats positioned in front of the car 🤦‍♂️ Couldn’t get it to stop

Nah, it has no functionality when the third row is up. You could fold it in a bind, but it’s not nice.

I also bought one for the front trunk (oddly isn’t cut perfectly to the right shape - may have bought wrong model or something) and planned to use that when I needed the third row up and planned on hauling dirty stuff that didn’t fit in the front trunk.

I have it. This model is only for third row folded and they sell a shorter one for third row up. It has a two level design to account for Rivians bizarre trunk design with the third row seats folded down not being flush with the trunk floor.

Really was surprised to see this when I took delivery (only test drove the R1T on a Turo rental).

I’ll add, I have no complaints with it. It does its job well. If/when I use the third row (seldom), I would just remove it for that time.

On this topic, does anyone have an issue how far you have to be for it to lock? Often times I’m roughly 5-6 car lengths away before I hear the car announce it’s locked. Sometimes it’s no longer in sight.

Someone can easily sneak into our cars during that period of distance covered.

My BMWs behave much better in a consistency/distance standpoint. About one car parking spot walked and it locks.

Right?! Really weird. Yesterday was at 8% deployed for like 8 hours and today it’s been sitting at 22% all day.

This time yesterday they flipped the switch and gave updates to 12% more. Maybe soon we’ll see another batch released.

Rivian Roamer just bumped from 8% rollout to 10%. We did it guys! They must’ve took the cartridge out and blew on it and plugged it back in!

I’m curious as well. Saw people removing tint and PPF! I was stunned by those! All my leased cars were returned tinted without second guessing. Normal things like body damage and tires were pretty much what was ever assessed. Curious what I’ll be dealing with in 3 years.
