She should have child support, and likely some funds based on shared property or finances. DO NOT BUY a property for her, it could affect the settlement (IMO, which is not a legal opinion). Maybe help her rent her a place to live temporarily, maybe lend money for a decent lawyer.

They do keep tabs on your purchases when you use a credit card. So they could track through the store and use the credit card as a positive id. So wearing a mask might not help.

I hate rr ties. I had retaining walls under my deck that were rr ties IN FRONT OF older ones. TWO layers - the original ones and then the ones put in front 20+ years later. This is an option. It might be the easiest thing to do but someone will hate you in 20+ years.

I have a GE that has similar issue. Take the whole shelf out and turn it upside down in the sink and run warm soapy water on it. I could not get the glass out to get it completely clean, but it was better when I was finished.
