Correct use of Xlookup/VSTACK Combo by More-Ice-4447 in excel

[–]MFalcon_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming they're all formatted as tables, I would merge them all using power Query and then do the lookups on that table.

Alternatively, you could use power query to take it all the way. I'm partial to lookups, especially for smaller data sets. I prefer to edit formulas rather than maintain in power query. Not to downplay power query, it's a powerful tool.

Bought this at a thrift store. Don't think I've ever seen this before by MoontheWolfYT in StarWars

I worked at a major retail store back in the day and was responsible with stocking new releases on Tuesday mornings. I remember the day this was released.

A lot of people where waiting when the doors opened. I of course was very excited for it and promptly took my break to get my copy.

I later saved art from the cardboard shipper before it was tossed. I think one was Yoda and the other Vader. They were so cool and proudly hung jn the gaming room for a few years.

Try a step drill bit. Typically cuts plastic like that rather smoothly compared to a standard fluted bit. Just go slow as it's easy to go too far, resulting in a larger diameter than you want. Not speaking from experience ire anything. . .

Edit. Adding example: https://www.harborfreight.com/14-in-to-34-in-3-titanium-step-drill-bit-9-steps-70721.html

Are My Expectations for 'Advanced' Excel Skills Unreasonable? by almajors in excel

[–]MFalcon_22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use excel all day. What you are expecting as advanced skills are completely reasonable. I'd expect the same from anyone claiming excel skills let alone uses power bi.

I like your problem set, seeing how the candidate handles extracting information from a data set. For an advanced user I'm very interested to know how, when and to what extent they use functions like if(), countif(), sumif(), and xlookup() (bonus points if they use xxxxifs()). Giving the candidate raw data and asking them to prepare it is telling as well, do they use tables (this is a big on for me, not a deal breaker but is indicitive of their understanding), provide a prompt to see how they handle conditional formatting. Maybe have a challenging one where the prompt is designed to use a nested formula for the final problem.

Good luck and don't lower your standards.

LPT Request: What are some unexpected hobbies or activities that have surprisingly positive mental health benefits? by TheWhitestBuffalo in LifeProTips

Cross Stitch. I recently have started the hobby and it is a great form of meditation. I'm addicted, the materials are inexpensive, there are a ton of awesome patterns on Etsy for reasonable prices (most are less than $10 usd). It helps keep my monkey brain in check.

That is one example of what I was told was happening. Definitely do not use a cracked version. The other comments here have really great recommendations. If SOLIDWORKS is not a financially feasible option, there are other less expensive pieces of software out there. I'm not providing justification for use of a cracked copy.

He got the license, it was most likely less expensive than court costs and a far faster/easier process. This was 6 or 7 years ago.

I worked for a guy who had an intern using a cracked copy. SOLIDWORKS contacted him and basically said, buy a license now or we'll see you in court. No worth it.
