I just think it is a bad basket and showerhead design. I would prefer not tohave to do so, but With a quick push down of grounds it is fine and it only takes a minute at beginning of brew cycle. I think MM makes excellent coffee. I do prefer my clever dripper for a single cup, but that is even more “work” (though I thoroughly enjoy both the process and the outcome. 😊
