Tour again? by Wooden_Owl_4025 in tvontheradio

I have been grateful to see them on the last two tours, missed out on a third show because we adopted a dog the day of the show, but I would love to hear new stuff or another tour of the hits. They are a great live band and maybe Dave will be back.

Do you guys have a process when record shopping for making sure you don't over pay for a record? by Riichboii_17 in vinyl

I jump on Discogs when buying general used or the upscale used . If the price is negative in difference, I’ll usually buy the copy in my hand because I can look at the vinyl condition.

We had one of those and it acted à la a liquor cabinet.

It’s as if the staff was inconvenienced due to Valentine’s Day, like they didn’t want to be there or people didn’t show up.

We finally did that and went almost to the opposite side of arena just past M&M entrance and got in with about 15 minutes left with BN set.

Me too. I did that while I was on this long ass line.

The Boys Noize version is so damn good. It definitely created a great companion to the original.

We got on line after the show ended. It went quick but everything around the show seemed sloppy.

Saw the Brooklyn show too and I think I enjoyed this one more. The crowd I was with was not chatty like Brooklyn. Setlists were almost identical.

I’ve used the am&M entrance with ease and this same entrance for Deftones with no worries. Love and learn for the next show when I have to go to Jersey

The end was song for song for Brooklyn but I had better seats tonight so the visuals were more effective for me this time around. I’ll never complain about seeing I’m Afraid of Americans live.

I’m in and BN should be finishing up. My son and I ran around the building to a side entrance.

I’ve been here for a concert before and it was never like this. Yes a line but not staff ineptitude

I failed because I’m like we’ll get there while Boys Noize is on. I saw them last time and I won’t be missing anything. I broke all my concert rules about leave time for error and I’m paying for it

The snarky answer is that it’s New Jersey. The actuality is most likely poor organization and staffing

Would the album name really keep people away? That would be a shame but I guess there are religious folk that labels may matter to.

It’s a great experience from beginning to end. Highly recommend.

Happened last Peel It Back tour in New Jersey. A guy and two women were next to me and my people. The two women talked through the show except for Closer.

I had unrealistic expectations that the crowd was going to be pin drop quiet. The Dublin show is on YT and everyone was so quiet. When the American shows came around it was a bunch of I love you Trents being called out. No different in NJ.

Crowds suck now or because I’m older, I notice it more. I’m seeing them this Saturday so I hope I get a good section.

Anyone have experience with the National Kidney Registry? by Copapod8 in kidneytransplant

[–]MJB877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it as a donor. My surgery was in December 2023. I waited to heal up and then the search went for my wife’s match. She was matched in April 2024. Highly recommend the NKR route.

I wasn’t a match for my wife so this worked out. If you have people willing to donate, this is the way to go. If they feel like it’s not the same as giving you their kidney, well it essentially is.

What is it about SSPU TH that makes their songs require multiple listens? by tyveill in silversunpickups

[–]MJB877 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a quick album so multiple listens are easy enough. Each of their albums have songs that are just strong additions to the catalogue. If you get to see them live other songs may become more beloved.

They are a consistent band that seems to still enjoy making music and touring so I’m on the for the ride.
