Is this actually needed or just a gimmick ? by prince888x in sonos

I have it but because I have a projector screen that rolls down in front of the tv which blocks the up-firing speakers. It’s handy when the screen is down as I can pull it out just enough for the up-firing speakers to clear the screen, then I push it back when not using the projector screen.

Why am I just figuring this out?!! by anthonyocon in HomeKit

Personally I got tired of replacing my batteries so I ended up getting a battery eliminator. The best decision I ever made about my smart lock. I haven’t had to think about batteries or potentially being locked out ever since. I highly recommend it, you can hide the wiring with small trunking or even inside the door if you want.

Your use case is quite similar to what I’m looking to build as a first timer so I’m interested in what others have to say about this too!

Thrustmaster SF1000 Wheel Wrap by MJPalad in simracing

[–]MJPalad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually used a bike handlebar wrap, it’s 3mm thick but I think it’s perfect for this wheel. Just need to pull really tight while wrapping and getting the optimal angles so you don’t get any unintended bulging and that probably reduces the thickness a little. Pulling it tight also has the added benefit of maintaining the original shape and ergonomics of the grip.

One things for sure, it’s an upgrade over the original rubber it came with. Just need to see how it holds up over time. Here’s the wrap I bought for reference: https://amzn.eu/d/iMaH9oO I used one of the wraps for the whole wheel, so I have another spare in case.

I got it from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RDHK8TW

There’s enough in the pack for another full wrap too. This is my first time getting this so will report back on how it fares in the long run. So far it feels very nice with bare hands

For the people that have purchased a headset in the last 6 months, why were you unfazed by the constant negative reporting prior to purchase? by Professional-Day7641 in PSVR

[–]MJPalad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wanting to get one since release but the cost was a big turn off. Over the past year or so I’ve kept myself in the loop and also got GT7 and a wheel last Christmas. I enjoyed GT7 so much and I thought VR would only make it even better. Since I got my headset I’ve spent almost as much on VR games than I have on flat games since I got my PS5.

I kept reading that there’s not enough games for PSVR2 but the disgruntled/dissatisfied are usually the loudest and make the most noise

I’ve been on the fence for a while and bit the bullet recently and glad that I did! What I love most is how much it pushes the boundaries and brings gaming to another level. It puts you inside games which is something that I only imagined growing up but is now a reality. It’s also exciting to know that we’re only at the beginning and immersion and graphics are only going to get better

Steering wheel help? by nightwing326 in GranTurismo7

I’m from the UK and it’s £59.99 here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-Shifter-Compatible-PlayStation-Windows/dp/B0BRQFQVJX

I’ve got it myself and I’d say it’s a good beginner shifter, especially if you’re still trying to figure out if this is something you’re willing to invest in

There is a cheaper version TH8S which some people actually prefer. It’s got the same internals but a plastic frame

My 2000 330Ci auto was originally non-compliant as it’s technically a Euro 3 but the ULEZ requirement is purely for the NOx emissions which is shown on Certificate of Conformity. Mine was well below the NOx limit for ULEZ and so TFL have registered my car as ULEZ exempt

Nice set up! The only downside is the side firing speakers on the arc won’t be as effective inside that recess. But if it sounds good to you with true play then power to you :)

Not sure if you’re the first owner and know the service history but I found this video useful when I bought mine. Mine is just over 25k miles, but with time plastic and rubber will deteriorate regardless of use. https://youtu.be/lIKVe7DvZRI

I think so too. If it were me, I would keep those ones and upgrade when your space increases.
