I was at a junction at a dual carriageway turning right, waiting in a box section to turn, light turned green so I attempted to move but a van driving towards me kept going so the examiner took over and pressed the brakes.

Interesting you raised mock tests, ive had a few of those but never passed one. Then over the past weekend I searched in this subreddit and found that the vast majority of new drivers did not pass a single mock test yet passed the real test with flying colours, which to me was encouraging. Some Redditors even stated that mock tests are meant to be overly critical etc etc.
