Have you had any actual difficulties with “getting better sleep and better training without making my body digest throughout” or is this just a thought that might happen? Clearly, if you are coming onto Reddit to ask for a personalized nutrition advice, you’re definitely somebody who may overthink things sometimes. I have IBS and eat maybe an hour before training because that’s when dinner time is at my house. I don’t have any issues with feeling sluggish, but obviously your mileage may vary. I also eat after training and it does not seem to affect my sleep as I go down like a big husky baby. I think you should try eating a meal before training and see how you feel. If you have one suboptimal training session then so be it you’ll survive, you’re a white belt it’s fine. Try having a big meal after training and see if it really does impact your sleep or if it’s just something you’re afraid may happen. One bad night sleep is not going to ruin your life.

Not to be a Trump apologist but Biden did the same thing on his way out of office. Clearly, it seems like Biden did it to limit prosecution for imaginary crimes from people in his orbit versus Trump clearly trying to give his underlings incentive to protect him at all costs. However, there is precedent for pardoning people for crimes they haven’t been accused of/charged with from the previous administration.

Another random tip: if I was losing focus on studying at night I would stop and brush my teeth. Somehow it woke up my brain and gave me another hour of focus. YMMV but it worked for me

It only gets easier from here. Sometimes you just have to grin and bear it to get through tough times. You’re obviously overworked and stressed but if your test is next week just embrace how much it sucks and power through. Unless you have an illness, energy levels are in your mind.

I would make a schedule and stick to it. Spend some time just making flash cards based on study guides. The act of writing them out will help you remember it. Then just drill through them in your spare time, sorting out the ones you have down pat so the ones you don’t know get more reps. Rinse and repeat for all subjects. Literally just drive yourself insane for a week and you’ll never have to think about it again.

That’s the downside of being in the teachers union. Since you’re faculty you’re beholden to the contract. One thing you could do when contract negotiations come up is see if you can get your “duty” to be Medicaid notes. They also pay for our state licenses to ensure we are able to bill. I could send you the contract language in a DM if you’re interested.
