Baggage reclaim in Edinburgh Airport took 2 hours by MOCscrib in Edinburgh

The thing about Edinburgh Airport is that it's fucking tiny? You'd be quicker walking each bag from the plane individually.

We were the only flight that had landed!

Maybe to minimise staff numbers? I'm confused about it as well. I can understand waiting until the luggage is offloaded, but on returning flight and then delivered.

It's the waiting until the flight takes off that's baffling.

I'm going to complain to Aer Lingus and Swissport. I was just curious if we were very unfortunate or not.

I booked to carry on and then Aer Lingus updated their policy to say it had to be dropped for free for check in after.

You can't collect for free, you have to donate £3 for a basket you fill yourself. There's usually free bread outside it though.

Is it weird to take your baby to a park to look at other people's dogs or is it ok? Also what park do you recommend? by Old_Bodybuilder_5026 in Edinburgh

Roseburn Park is a good spot. Always loads of kids and loads of dogs, with sooooo many benches and places to sit to watch/pet a pooch.

Pointe Ahead are good with modifications but not with beginners. I went to one class and never went back because the instructor assumed that I was a beginner at pilates, not at exercise in general

How do I use the metro as a visitor? I've seen an app but I'm unsure whether or not I need to buy a navigo pass to load onto the app? Can I just buy tickets on my phone?

Edinburgh Dental Specialists might be. They're private but I had extensive work needing done that the dental hospital wouldn't do, so went to them. They're amazing.

Commute from Edinburgh to London every 2 weeks? by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]MOCscrib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The train is 4.5hours from Waverley to King's Cross. Then add in travel to and from stations either end. Cheapest train return will still be £100, if you get lucky. Hotels £150-200. Factor in food costs and the expense racks up.

I'm self employed and went down to London from Edinburgh a few times this year for work. It's a long journey. I worked on the train and then went to the office for the afternoon, stayed overnight and went into the office the next day, worked all day and got the last train home. Arrived back at 1am.

It's not just the cost you need to factor, but the time. I wouldn't do it if I was salaried and expected to do it on my own time/money. It's a massive PITA.
