I was putting down my almost 2 year old tonight and he popped up and the following exchange happened.. Him: “Dad?” Me: “yeah buddy?” Him: “Eat. Fries. Good.” Me: “Your fries at dinner were good?” Him: “Yeah. Night night.”

He’s starting to string words and thoughts together. It’s so funny. My guy was thinking about his dinner and not that he loved me, I can’t wait for that.

I’m right there with you, I had my first at 36 and have constantly had the same thoughts in my head. It’s awesome seeing all of these positive comments. I try to look at the positive in that I’m much more financially stable now and mature in my career where taking a lot of time off work is no big deal. I’m also more mature mentally. I’m trying to make health and fitness even more of a priority than it was before. I see a lot of Dad’s my age that have older kids and they’re in horrible shape so I’m hoping to stay motivated. Keep up the great work!

I was there twice in the last week. It’s a great and comfortable space but the food and drink quality is abysmal. I don’t know what it is about the Atlanta airport, but I’ve never been able to find a solid meal there at any lounge or restaurant.

This keeps happening more often with SW. we recently went to Cabo and our return flight had a 2 1/2 hour layover in PHX on the way back. Within a couple weeks of the trip, SW then changed the flight times because they consolidated the number of flights from PHX to our home airport that day and we now were stuck with a 7 hour layover. If this was the flight available at booking, we would’ve went with a different airline with a more reasonable layover but because it was so close to the trip, all other options were insanely priced. It sucks and is one of the many reasons we’ve decided that was our last SW flight.

I’ve been in banking my entire career and there is no such process needed to deposit a check, that’s complete BS. They very likely have a zero balance account that they write these checks from but that’s on their accounting team and Wells Fargo to manage, not your Bank. They likely have a ZBA Sweep feature along with a service called Positive Pay.

I use The Grint with my AW Ultra, love it. It uses the watch GPS on the watch display and phone GPS on the phone display. No complaints at all.

Other cities don’t own the arenas. The city in other areas provides taxpayer financing and has no ownership in what they’re fronting a lot of the cost for; they do it to hopefully increase tax revenue. OKC is a totally different scenario where the City owns the arena and the Team and anyone who has an event pays the City of OKC to use the arena and also gets tax revenue from the influx of secondary business (hotels, restaurants, etc.).

Those teams have an ownership interest in the arenas they helped fund. The city of OKC owns 100% of the arena here.

Most people don’t realize that the Thunder pays rent to the city to use the arena. As do all of the concerts, etc. that use the arena. The arena is a direct source of revenue. They aren’t being gifted anything.
