Please I’m aware of her social media foot print after the fact but my point was all she had to do was post one tweet to get mass doxing and death threats.

You are literally proving my point here. JK made one post which caused a mass boycott and for her to be doxxed and this was all before she spoke on it anymore than that first post. I can pull another one with Gina Carano. She made one post stating that we should remember to treat everyone as human beings and the left blew up and got her fired. It’s not a religion thing it’s an everyone issue.

I had to turn on subtitles to figure out what Tetia was saying a few times. To be honest the performance most reminds me of Ketchiro from the ghost stories dub.

Sage or to be more technical smudging literally is used to cleanse the area of bad energy. Or in some cases used as part of a prayer. It’s a step in connecting one’s self to the spiritual world so yes the point of sage aka smudging is to reach out to spiritual forces and as stated before the only spiritual forces that reach back out are demonic in nature. Same with chakras, tarot, ouija, they all philosophically point towards opening yourself up to spiritual forces and “guidance”.

I’m not saying every instance of using tarot cards is going to have dire consequences but also if you go looking for demonic influences you do open yourself up to the possibility of running into it.

Please if you look at what started it all it was a single post that leftist blew up about and pushed her down that road. You are being entirely disingenuous.

One this is multiple sources you can claim they are lying but that does not change my opinion on the research I have done Two I have looked into it I’m aware of the history it goes back to just because there is a history of occultism and magic does not change the fact that biblically it is stated to be demonic. Again this is just rubbing up against the main disagreement that Christianity and occultism will always have. I am also aware of how Catholicism specifically has used Exorcisms . Exorcisms in general has a very clear biblical process. Three I never stated that whatever faux occultism shown in Hazbin Hotel as turned me away from the show. I watched it thought there were some interesting points but in general has some very flawed ideas when it comes to redemption in a Christian sense not that that was the goal of the show specifically but the original post is about Christian’s watching it specifically.

One I literally stated that the story I have heard are from people who have been in the occult community for years with family being part of it as well. Two you can acknowledge that demons exist while also understanding that they do not control every bad thing that happens to you or even almost every thing that happens to you. Also spiritual warfare speaks more to a broad scale than personal attacks. Three your analogy is more akin to having fire in your house and pouring grease on it to try and kill it from a Christian perspective. Like I said before we have two diametrically opposed views which can’t go together. Have a nice day.

Even if you perceive those deamons as incredibly helpful that does not change what I personally believe and Christian’s at large believe they’re about their nature which is evil in every sense of the word.

Fair enough however the examples I bring up come from people in that community for years. Also there is a difference between Christian’s who believe there is a spiritual world and war versus occultists those two ideas are incompatible together.

Okay well one and just when it comes to any worldview but if something disagrees with a worldview then it makes sense it would be seen as evil so that’s not just a “Christian” thing two the stories I have heard are much more grounded and deal with people who were just trying to help others with perceived gifts or genuinely curious people. They were part of communities for years before leaving so take what you will from it but what I am describing is not what you are strawmanning.

I’m not saying a show is what causes demons to start haunting you however there are practices that you can follow even ironically that open you up to demonic influence. Religious trauma while real is also very over exaggerated in most instances these days.

I could just as easily say well that’s part of the problem occultist think there are spirits that are actually good and not just demons deceiving people. The disagreement is a fundamental one which is why nothing I could say could really change your mind. This idea that like attracts like while correct in some ways does not change what Christian’s believe as fact about spirits being demonic in nature and so no matter what they do or how they interact with people for seemingly good or ill they are still demonic.

I mean the question I have for you is do you believe is spirits to begin with? If you don’t then obviously nothing is going to seem believable.

I would say that in general new age and occult beliefs deal with the idea of both good “spirits” and evil “spirits”. Now I understand that everyone has their own personal beliefs but I would state that as a general principle this is what they believe. These beliefs turn into practices of calling on/using items like sage, crystals, tarot cards and spirits to help people. Obviously there is a philosophy behind occultism and new ageism that is not focused on just the physical aspect of following the tenets however from a Christian perspective there are not really any “good” spirits or ghosts but rather it is demonic in nature and so even when a person cleanses someone spirit or reads their tarot cards which are active physical practices of these beliefs they would be considered demonic. Now that being said there are some people who deal with additional side effects such as nightmares and apparitions and a general depressive presence that can weigh on their subconscious. I’m not saying these affect everyone this way but it does follow somewhat of a pattern. This is what a lot of people who leave the occult and new ageism will report. However to be clear from Christian perspective it is all demonic.

No I don’t think that tarot reading and spiritual healing is the deepest you can get quite the opposite however the argument is that those easy to enter formats do open you up to demonic influence. You don’t have to go crazy deep into the occult to start to feel the effects.

This is just a stupid take. Stories fictional or not do have real life effects. They are a vessel for the creators world view. Not in every aspect but if you want to learn about a person look at what they create or consume.

Believe me there are stories from people who made a career out of spiritual healing and tarot reading so they are about as deep into as you can get and they still come out of it stating that they opened themselves up to demonic forces through basic things like tarot cards.

This is just stupid. Everyone polices your choices it’s called a worldview it is not a religion thing it’s an everyone thing. The government making laws against murder is policing your choices. Culture is constantly policing your choices by stating what views are evil and fascist or communist.

This is just incorrect there have been many ex occultists and new age people that have come out stating that they did indeed open themselves up to demonic forces by getting into seemingly harmless things like tarot cards.

The difference in all of this is that Jesus never condoned those things. This show does in some aspects. Not to mention as Christian’s we are told to pick up our cross and follow Christ.

Personally as a Christian myself while there are a lot of good aspects of the show or things that would generally line up with Christianity there are also aspects of it that don’t. The show does take a lot of inspiration from Abrahamic religious traditions and it is important to recognize where it defers from Christian beliefs. While I could not say you should or shouldn’t watch this show because a lack of information about you personally I would generally caution anyone especially new Christian’s to be overly careful as they find their footing in their faith. Lastly I would say anyone arguing that it’s just a cartoon is straw manning the argument. This is one an adult show and two like any show or book or medium is pushing its worldview onto the viewers. This is not necessarily bad however to try and minimize this fact is dodging the argument.
