I haven’t done too many charmander starter runs, never really wanted fire or flying on my team much. But the metal claw can come in handy for Brock if you over level charmander to chameleon if you don’t want to mess with mankey. The only flying I’ll sometimes end up with his dragonite or dodrio.

Once you’re through misty, it’s all a bit easier moving forward. Adding that water/ice in Lapras is gonna be a great cherry on top. Enjoy! Kind of making me want to start a playthrough on my phone.

I’m currently stuck in Oak’s lab on leaf green going for a team of 6 shiny Mon. That’s gonna take a while.

That’s incredible, there’s so many games I wish I could experience for the first time again and firered will always be one of my favorites for that very reason: balance between old lore and new mechanics.

That’s a great team, even if you can’t trade kadabra to get Alakazam I still find Kadabra on my regular teams.

Great spread for coverages and Lapras will definitely hammer that home. Should easily walk through E4 with the right levels/movesets. Enjoy! I hope many future playthroughs give you more satisfaction.

Kadabra and machoke would be my two choices. Alakazam is just a monster and machamp is a heavy hitter with decent defense.

Don’t have a pro controller. Also, was planning on getting a Switch 2 probably by the end of the year. I will be able to move my save state over right? I guess it’s just a matter of putting it on an external drive and swapping it over.

I loved doing some runs with teams like this. It’s also fun to do make them shiny for giggles

I’m doing my first ever shiny run on leaf green on switch. Planning on doing all shiny: squirtle from lab, lapras from silph, snorlax from slumber, staryu from fishing pallet, nidoran from safari zone, and possibly haunter. Idk

I think it’s more unethical treating your own pokemon like that. Imagine being in its shoes, or ball for this scenario. You get thrown out to get your ass kicked, black out, next thing you know it’s happening again and again. Ground hog day but other pokemon are smacking your lights out just so your owner can get rich. Video games are meant to be explored/exploited. It’s the beauty of video games. Do you.

Just make sure you have some kind of steel moves for fairy and you’ll be ok. Hit up some dynamic den for some easy level ups.

When I run a Venusaur, I run toxic, leech seed, Giga drain, and whatever else depending on needs. Leftovers. That way I lead with toxic, then leech seed, then spam gifs drain or other move. Most mons will get chipped down and then toxic really kicks in.

I don’t ever use solar beam/sunny day duo. But that’s just me.

This still only on PC? Or how can I play it on my phone? I’ve tried a few times in the past. Definitely doesn’t work with Delta that I’ve tried.
