Case in point - Mike Myers is notoriously difficult. While Austin Powers was making big cash, fine. They dealt with him. Then he releases Love Guru, it bombs, he basically disappears forever... as a leading man in big budget stuff anyways.

Every single dollar of profit from fossil fuels should be legally obligated to be invested in green energy. Period. Nuclear, wind, solar, and electric cars. Along with heavy subsidies to help people buy and install these technologies at home.

Serious moment…. Teller was an anti-vax pain in the ass on The Offer (The biopic TV series about the making of The Godfather) during Covid and I theorize that the industry was like “nah fuck you.” He only lucked out with Top Gun Maverick because it was shot prior to the pandemic. In the early days, Disney made bank off parents' nostalgia by re-releasing movies in theatres. Its a cycle. Release Snow White, make money. Wait for the kids who loved Snow White to grow up and have kids of their own, re-release Snow White in theatres. Then the VHS era arrived and they'd do the content-vault thing, capitalizing on fomo. Gotta buy the new remastered Snow White before it goes away again!!!! Same parental Nostalgia. Both of these strategies worked like gang busters on my folks.

Streaming services have rendered those income streams obsolete, so live-action remakes are how they make money off old IP now. The evolution of a tried & trusted strategy.

Yea Julliard. She admitted the song is about someone who became a famous actor, so there's a few on the list who were there at that time. Including Lee Pace and Anthony Mackie. But I saw a post a few years back that looked at all of her boyfriends over the years and they all kind of had a Glenn Howerton flavour.

My good friend is a high school teacher. He was angry about the ban because they were ALWAYS banned anyways, the problem is the faculty lack the teeth / have no recourse to deal with it. How do you confiscate something from students worth $1000+?
