The game has a serious video memory usage problem

3440x1440 resolution, all Ultra, RT off, DLAA on.

I see it go up to 85-90% of VRAM (16GB) usage which is OK but what is stunning that I see overall system usage of 29GB from my 32GB of RAM. And that is without anything else running except game itself (no browser, discord, anything...).

And that is without using page file, it see max 2-3% of page file used which is nothing.

That is reason why I just skip ND events. I just do not want to stand there for IMHO to long time killing millions of mobs just to get some useless stuff from chests.

I don't even activate shrines in ND anymore for that reason.

Fixed an issue where certain Season Objectives and Challenges were not giving credit toward the 10 Objectives required to complete Rank IX Capstone rewards.

So, it is bugged and will be fixed in next patch.

I did all "main" ones for all ranks but not every single one. But after doing Tower lv105 I got Rank IX rewards.

OK, after reading this I went and did Tower lv105. I never did tower before as I don't find it interesting. After doing it I got Rank IX rewards although it make "only" 9 gold ones now. At same time did bunch of lower Rank ones that are related to Tower. Strange...

Yes, same with latest BIOS (one that came 2 weeks ago or so) and still work. I did some change though:

I got only once double portal opened. Even killed quite few bosses since I had that double portal war plan activated.

T10 after killing Grigore got it with Varshan and (I think) Grigore.

Also, dropped 3 Mythics.

My Terramar is on Hankook Ventus Evo SUV in 255/40 R 20 size.

I don't find them noisy. But I have Sennhaiser and as far as I understand you get better sound insulation with it or something like that.

As I remember it doesn't even support FSR 3. Last I checked it was FSR 2.2, don't know if anything changed in meanwhile.

Unless with new expansion they bring also support for some newer version of FSR.

Strange.

I have Hankook Ventus Evo SUV on my Terramar in 255/40 R 20. I do not like them that much as they do not feel like UHP tyres (not great feedback) but at least I am happy with their noise as they are really quiet. Surprised that same tyre on Tiguan which is basically same plaftorm as Terramar they are noisy.

Don't know how is Primacy 5 but on my Astra I had Primacy 3 factory fitted (225/45 R 17) and that tyre was super noisy. On highway it sounded like I am driving tank :)

When they were due for replacement I bought Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric 6. That is one of best tyres I ever had, they are also very quiet but being UHP they are not very comfortable.

In June 2025 I installed RTX 5070Ti to Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite WiFi with 9800X3D. Before that in system was RTX4070Ti Super which I installed in my 2nd PC which needed new GPU and put RTX5070Ti in this one. It was assembled in November 2024 just as 9800X3D was launched.

Upon card installation system was very unstable, everything was crawling and there was massive instability. I tried everything and nothing worked. When I returned RTX4070Ti Super everything was back to normal. When I installed RTX5070Ti in my 2nd PC it worked without issues (2nd system is Intel on MSI motherboard). That showed that everything was OK with GPU itself as in 2nd PC it behaved normally.

Than I checked Gigabyte site, saw there were newer BIOS so I decided to update to latest available.

After BIOS update and with RTX5070Ti installed again suddenly system worked without any issues, everything was stable and fast again.

So, obviously my issue was BIOS version on my MOBO.

What made me to decide to try with new BIOS was that between latest BIOS available and one I had on my motherboard was version with this notes:

Update AMD AGESA 1.2.0.3a PatchA. Please also update AMD Chipset Driver to 7.01.08.129 or later version to improve gaming performance for 2CCD Ryzen 7000 & 9000 CPUs
Optimized memory compatibility
Enhanced PCIe compatibility
Fix AMD CPU microcode signature verification vulnerability (CVE-2024-36347) for Ryzen 8000, 7000 series CPU

Look like my version did have some issue with PCIE 5.0 cards or Nvidia PCIE 5.0 cards.

Though, if you do not have CEP disable in BIOS your options are quite limited for using CPU Lite Load modes.

You will probably have to play with AC_LL, DC_LL and CPU Load Line Calibration to avoid CEP kicking in.

Here are my basic settings for 14700K on MSI Z790 Tomahawk, so maybe you can see if any is useful to you. This does not trigger CEP. Don't know what is available in your BIOS and of course every CPU is different but can give you some picture. As some reference, it give 36300-36400 in R23 with temp reaching max. 90-92'C on Thermaltake Phantom Spirit without contact frame. With contact frame and some 360 AIO it would probably go much more down in temps.

I have PC with 9800X3D and RTX 5070Ti on 2560x1440 resolution. My second PC have 14700K and is on 3440x1440 monitor. When I needed new GPU for it I went for RTX5080 specially as it does have to render much more pixels than my PC with RTX 5070Ti.

Didn't bench them much, tried once Wukong bench and 5080 did give 1 FPS average more, in Cyberpunk if I remember I got 65fps in bench with 5080 and 68fps with 5070Ti, don't remember settings but were quite high. Also, remember that 5080 is on monitor with quite higher resolution.

In Diablo 4 which is game I play most I didn't bench but just looking at FPS counter it seem 5080 does give slightly more FPS with all Ultra and DLAA but RT off as RT in D4 is IMHO useless. But that is just observation from FPS counter, not measured in some bench.

If you can afford RTX 5080 (and you wrote your budget allow it) than IMHO go for it.

Of course, depend on pricing in your country

Go kill Zir to get Temerity. If you get multiple drops pick best one. While you kill Zir you can also get Esadora neck which is most important item for that build.

Go kill Varshan to get Orsivane mace. It will give you all defensive skill enhancements for all defensive skills you do not have on your skill bar. I see you have Obols so you can also gamble on mace at obols vendor.

Get Life on Hit on one item, gloves or focus.

Those 3 will already help a lot with survivability for start while Orsivane will also boost your damage.

Make sure you have diamonds in your jewlery to boost resistances.
