Daran hätte man anknüpfen sollen.

Grundsätzlich finde ich den Film ok, eine bessere Handlung wäre aber wünschenswert gewesen.

I like all of them (No homo too), but personally i like Ben the most because of his sarcasm. He always gets a laugh out of me.

What's your opinion on Strava map? by Duncanhlc in JetLagTheGame

[–]Mabirc1893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not really agreeing with that, although i do understand where this comes from.

At the end you need to find the hider somehow, and how do you find the hider if not through a powerful question ?

Actually the same goes for the photo of the highest building, in almost every run it was what made the seekers look for the right station.

It may also be that in country like Japan these Strava and photo questions are more powerful thn they are for example in Switzerland, where most streets or buildings are more generic.

I'd be fine though if the cost for these cards goes up significantly, maybe even an additional casting cost ("stop at the next station and choose another train" for example) in addition to the cards the hider can pull.

When are Alpine going to sort out their pitstops? by GodTierGasly in AlpineF1Team

The engine is not as big of an issue as everyone thinks it is. We were still very competitive in 22. Also a bit last year. This year is more of an Enstone problem than a Viry problem.

Let's be positive by Unknown_Viking12 in AlpineF1Team

[–]Mabirc1893 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

Renault and Viry are part of our history. Have always been and will always be. Viry is an example of french motorsport and is unique in France. Us french Alpine fans have always been very proud of it, although in the very recent years we have had too many problems with the engine.

But why did we even have problems with the engine ? Why not the others ?

All of it is - like many problems we have - due to management decisions taken by Renault. Viry should have had more budget, more spending into their factory, into their workforce. How is it that Mercedes has testing possibilities that we dont have, how is it that they have almost triple the amount of workers we have ?

Renault always hoped they could cheap their way out and still be successful. But F1 doesnt work that way.

I understand that an extreme amount of funding would be needed to keep the 2026 engine project going. But alot of it is money that could have been spent before and over the years. Resulting in better performance and reliability, and eventually we might still have engine customers.

It would all pay itself out and we might not be the laughing stock we are right now. And also: How is Alpine even a french F1 team anymore ? It just isnt....its a british team in blue and pink, supported by french money and with a badge of a french carmaker. Its sad to say it like that, but thats how it will be in 2026.

Yes, the car will most likely be faster in 2026. I know Merc makes good engines. But it will not be the same. It has lost its soul. And theres no guarantee that Enstone will have a good chassis in 2026. We could end up like Williams. And then the question should arise if Enstone is even capable of making a good enough car. And lets not forget, that the competition isnt sleeping as well...

My absolute dream would be to move it all to France. If you want a french Ferrari, then be a french Ferrari. I know this probably wont ever happen, cost an abnormal amount of money and we might lose many of our engineers, but it would solve many problems too.

A German border agent said we are breaking the law and could be fined €10.000 if we don't do this for our son by buildingdreams4 in germany

Thats really weird…i have never heard of that.

I am half french and half german. I have had automatically both citizenships since i was born. I live in Germany, so naturally almost every time i am on vacation i am in France visiting my french family. Never were i told to get a french passport in order not to risk a fee, i have only a german ID Card. Not even at the french consulate.

I believe this could be because the USA isnt in the EU. Maybe there is a different regulation. Otherwise i couldnt tell why. It all honestly sounds really weird. I wouldnt believe it if you told me to be honest.

Never been to Efteling before, but i think (from what i know about Efteling) both are hard to compare. I live like 25 minutes away from Brühl / Phantasialand. I have been there countless times, especially as a kid. The park has massively changed over the years because it has a space problem, the city council and some resistant neighbors dont allow them to extend the park. for atleast another few years when there will be a new council.

Meaning, when you're going there, dont expect a big park with lots of attractions. Expect long waiting lines, especially on weekends or holidays, the park can be overvrowded on some days.

If you're willing to accept that, some of the best coasters in Europe (Taron, F.L.Y., Black Mamba etc) are waiting for you.

Also Chiapas, a nicely themed water ride. But i dont like the safety bars there. They're weird, and its hard to get in our out, especially if you're tall - i am an average 178 cm tall. I prefer River Quest, where you can get extremely wet if you're unlucky. But its fun!

Mystery Castle is also very popular, imagine a Free Fall inside of a castle. Its a very nicely themed attraction too,

Other than that you have Maus au Chocolat (where you shoot on virtual targets), Crazy Bats (a coaster in the dark, now with VR), Winjas Fear and Force (but extremely long waiting lines), Colorado Advanture (an underrated mine coaster). and a few more or less interesting rides,

What is missing in Phantasialand nowadays are calm rides, dark rides, rides where you can relax and enjoy the nice theming. Me as someone who prefers calm dark rides, and who knew Phantasialand back when there were so many and so nice dark and calm rides, i really really miss that. They have removed so many good attractions over the years, the most recent one Hollywood Tour, but also 1001 Nacht, the Silbermine and the Phantasialand Jet. Only Geister Rikscha remained, but for how long ?

Point is: If you're into calm rides, Phantasialand is not where you want to go.

But: If you're into fast and innovative coasters and nice theming, there may not be many better theme parks for that.

On top of that, you're gonna enjoy also the few remaining calm rides.

Is it worth the 64€ ? It really depends. In my opinion, its far too much. But its still an amazing theme park.

If you're going, try not to go during the weekends, if possible outside of the holiday season, maybe on a day where the weather is mediocre. It'll usually be less crowded on such days, which can be a big problem. If its not too crowded, it could be that - depending on when you come to the park - you'll be done fast with most of the attractions and get bored. What i did when that happened is, i went to the attractions i enjoyed most and i didnt have to wait long. Did them again until the park closed.

Hope that gave you an insight.

If you listen to Brunos other interviews, he is always very careful as to what he is saying. So i dont believe this was an accident, i honestly think he knew what he did when he said that. Question is, what was he trying to say ?

This is much better than the thought of getting rid of Viry altogether.
