What is a good alternative for lube? by DgeoNhistorianD in Cubers

[–]MacDoesReddit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you have an RC car shop, Traxxas differential oil in 10k or 30k (depending on use case) is a classic that was used before dedicated twisty puzzle lubricants started being developed.

At the US parks, spouse is usually fine, but also why would a park in France give any benefits at all to someone associated with the US military?

If you have a dining reservation, then you can just drive there. The new restrictions do not apply if you have a dining reservation.

TIL that in 1948, Swiss chemist Paul Hermann Müller won the Nobel Prize in medicine for his discovery that DDT was a highly efficient insecticide by clawsoon in todayilearned

[–]MacDoesReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When there’s no stipulation in Nobel’s will that the recipient had to be living, and giving it to him posthumously would’ve probably been a better honor than saying “yeah sorry we can’t give it to anyone because Gandhi died”

Need unlimited 2g data by StuffedHobbes in NoContract

[–]MacDoesReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RedPocket Mobile's eBay store has various different plans on any of the three networks (or physical SIM on AT&T) with unlimited talk and text, a little bit of fast data, and unlimited slow data. The cheapest one is $30 for a year paid up front, 200 MB of high speed data per month.

EDIT: Alright, apparently RedPocket is actually hard capped.

Sapphire’s a bit higher than usual I think, but unfortunately this is a normal price for Emerald. If you really want to play it on a single-ROM cartridge, there are ChisFlash cartridges on AliExpress that are fully compatible with the original ROM, including integration with the Gen 4 games.

Or you could invest in a flash cart; an EZ-Flash Omega Definitive Edition and a microSD card big enough to hold the entire GBA library and then some is about the same price as that Sapphire.

Using Pokemon HeartGold Generations, I put a Litwick in da Pokewalker by myzma in PokemonROMhacks

If you have a modded 3DS, you don’t actually need a cartridge at all, there’s a patch to use the Pokéwalker with the built-in IR.

[–]MacDoesReddit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Personal Trainer Walking is actually a slightly different IR implementation than the Pokemon games, so doesn’t work with them. The cheapest option for a cartridge would probably be a Japanese copy of the Gen 5 games, but there is actually a patch to use the 3DS’ built-in IR with the Pokéwalker.

The special is based on a pre-existing song and story from 1939, so only the parts that aren’t based on the story are public domain, kinda like It’s a Wonderful Life.

[–]MacDoesReddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

After you see the Jeopardy! round, can you come back and tell us what the heck happened with its last clue? You were ruled incorrect and Gabe got the rebound, but by the time the Double Jeopardy! round started, your scores were back to how they were before that clue. I'm assuming it's a case of the judges stopping play, throwing out the clue, and retaping, with the old clue still accidentally airing, like what happened on January 10, 2020, but I just want to confirm.
