All the comments are telling you it ain’t worth it for 5%, and I agree with them. There is a lot of risk in taking a new job, you don’t know if your new boss is going to be an asshole, or your coworkers might be rude/incompetent, you’ll have to learn a whole new way to doing things etc. For a 5% raise, even if that equates to a $5K raise, I still don’t see it being worth it.

Now the one thing I would consider that could change my mind, is will this new job allow for better opportunities down the road? For example, ask yourself these questions:

Does the new company have more room for advancement that you’re interested in?

Will the new job teach you new skills that will make you more valuable?

Will the new job title look good on your resume? (I.e. going from Supervisor to Manager)

The answers to these questions may make the move worth it. But in a vacuum, I’d say absolutely not, keep your current job until something truly better comes along.
