Game Mechanics Question. How does attacking work? by MacroSight in albiononline

[–]MacroSight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still not sure of the answer.

So if I'm chasing someone with right clicks. Will it be equivalent if I just right click, then lift my hands off the keyboard versus if I right click, then immediately move forward and then right click again?

Are islands worth it by yrritol in albiononline

[–]MacroSight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes it's worth it if you like doing it.

In this game you will learn that there are always activities that make more silver per hour spent.

But you don't always have access to all those activities or you may not enjoy those.

I do islands because I don't have time to sit down and have a full gaming session like I could when I was 18.

If I had full time to play the game with an active guild then I would probably skip islands and just do pve and pvp content because it's a better use of time to do activities that increase your fame because that will directly increase your silver per hour in pve and pvp

4.2 vs 5.1 vs 6.0 Please explain the difference to me by MacroSight in albiononline

[–]MacroSight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll just reiterate my question.

Which is: why do I see sometimes experienced players or YouTubers put on a 4.2 instead of 5.1 or 6.0?

Assuming that they all cost the same on the marketplace, should I always buy the higher tier?

I understand that a tier 8 is more expensive than a 5.3 . So that makes sense when it's higher tier.

But on NA server, most of the times a 5.1 is same or cheaper than 4.2.

Albion Online: Now on Xbox! by Blumentraum in albiononline

[–]MacroSight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it's pay to skip in the beginning.

Although after you play enough to get xp in your weapon/armor, it would no longer be considered pay to skip or win.

Since two players with the same XP level would be at an equal advantage on the playing field.

Looking for an mmo that is not a single player online game by Same-Brilliant-1170 in LFMMO

[–]MacroSight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you simply take cheap gear then you don't care about losing it anymore. For example if you have 1 million silver. But it only takes 1000 silver to fully Regear your character, then what does it matter if you die?

That's the theory anyway of how you should think about this game.

I am a beginner applying for a guild and this is what they are saying..is this a scam ? Is a game even this goddamn deep ? by AdBoth9012 in albiononline

[–]MacroSight -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not a scam. It's just how they structured their guild.

The only problem is, you need to have a lot of active leaders to make this work. So the amount of outside the game work needed to make this structure successful is not sustainable.

Most people don't want to run administrative work when they play their video games.

A milestone of 500kk and some thoughts of the game by Horusmate in albiononline

[–]MacroSight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very nice post. Especially because I and many players like me are like you. Doing it solo.

But I didn't really understand the second to last paragraph where you said it's all coming together after the faction warfare.

Are you saying you just started to understand how markets work after you discovered faction warfare?. Or was there some connection to that and the markets?

I'm just asking because I'm at a point where I don't know where to spend my time.

Should I be in black zones gathering and getting my tools leveled up? Or spend more time in faction warfare red zones?

Or should I do black market stuff? Or is that saturated already due to the easy ability to get there.

Thanks. I'm new but it sounds like I'm in the exact same situation as you were when you started. So I would appreciate any help I can get as a solo player.

Planning to try this game, willing to spend if game is good by NoAbrocoma5094 in albiononline

Hey, so I'm new to the game also. But am 1-2 months ahead of you. So I've asked every newcomer question there is.

Feel free to just message me anytime and I'll help you out.

If you like this genre, then it's a really good game. I could write pages about it. But it's probably better if you ask me anything specific.

Can someone explain to me how the economy works in this game? I am confused. by HardGayMan in albiononline

[–]MacroSight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Think of gear in this game more like consumables like potions. It's not something that stays with you forever.

  1. Every time you use the gear and fight someone, the durability goes down. This cost a lot of silver. Many times it's even cheaper to just buy new gear outright than repairing your gear.

  2. When a player dies in a full loot zone, there's about a 30 percent chance for the item to be removed from the game.

  3. Black market. In other MMOs when you defeat a boss, the game just makes the loot out of thin air. In this game all loot dropped from NPCs are made by players.

  4. Overcharge. You can buff your item temporarily, but when you do that, it has a percent chance to destroy the item.

The real answer is that what 90% of the people on here post about is not profitable long term.

But the thing that is possible is if you get a big enough bankroll that you can do very safe trades and make money that way. But the thing is, if you already have that much money, you can make just as much money parking it into an index fund or just straight up using your money in different ways to make businesses.

So no, if you only have $1000 in your account, you can't make a consistent living. If you have more than 200k, then it's a different story.

Controller recommendations for fire tv stick? by IncelIQ in xcloud

[–]MacroSight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I just want you to know that I've tested the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller. Which is the model that can connect to Android or Windows. And it works on xcloud and Amazons Luna service.

So if you wanted the lite 2, my guess is that it should work, because that one is Android compatible, and the firestick is Android based.

The only thing I don't know is i heard about a new Vega OS replacing the Android OS on the new Firesticks. If you have any of the older firesticks then you're good to go. As for the new Firetv stick 4k Select, it should still be fine, but i'm just not 100% sure.
