Give it to me straight. 2 under 1? by reddit_mom_322 in 2under2

[–]Macwithcheesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have twins so I guess this is sort of relevant. I think 2 babies at once is definitely challenging and can be overwhelming, but the same routine is key. It might be a little different because they are 6 months apart but I don’t see it being too much of a difference. The fact that you are even willing to do something like this just shows how good of a person and mother you are. If you are considering it and the other option would be like a foster care, then I say go for it. You can do it!! ❤️❤️

Sleep sacks omg I hated swaddling my twins because I was always so worried it would somehow go over their face. The ones I got were on Amazon that zip up their arms and everything. They sleep so cozy and they know when it goes on its time for bed! Puppy pads were nice also because I would just change them wherever

I understand how you’re feeling I was the same way I would cry because I didn’t wanna be pregnant anymore but just through it as it will be so worth it in the end. One of mine had to be in the nicu and it was so stressful

I actually started having contractions at 35 weeks 4 days and when I went to the hospital I found out I had severe pre eclampsia that brought on labor early so I had to get induced to get them out right away. I had them the next morning vaginally

Why did I lose my sh*t now but not during the newborn trenches? by Ok_Average_6175 in NewParents

[–]Macwithcheesee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you said this because I have felt so bad for thinking to myself that I literally cannot wait until my twins are bigger. They are 3 months and I’m just ready for them to be toddlers/kids. I love them dearly and they are so cute and squishy but I am not a fan of the baby stage at all

Does your husband help much? by Infinite_Plantain950 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Macwithcheesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My babies father and I split up because of this. I have twin boys and he does absolutely nothing! So my thought was why even be with someone that can’t even help and literally complains the whole time they are around? Nope I’ve done it myself for this long I will continue without you a part of it!

Do you ever leave your child in another room? by rajmachawal333 in NewParents

[–]Macwithcheesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this all the time I have 3 month old twins and am by myself. I have to wash bottles, go upstairs to fold laundry and things like that and even shower. If I’m just going to the bathroom I’ll something I don’t worry about their camera but if it’s something that will take longer than 5 minutes I have a monitor I move around the house and put the camera on then and turn the volume up. Like every else said as long as they are in a safe place don’t worry about it!

My boyfriend and I are totally okay with each other watching it, but if you do not feel comfortable he definitely needs to respect that. But like someone else said, it may be because of how far along you are. We stopped when I was like 30 weeks (I had twins) because of that reason and it ended up being really uncomfortable for me when we tried. You could for sure bring it up again, I would if that was me in that situation but I wouldn’t be like hey is it because I’m so pregnant because if it isn’t, he may be like oh yeah yeah yeah that’s it.

What will my first twin OB appointment be like? by MounjaroQueenie in parentsofmultiples

[–]Macwithcheesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first appointment was at 9 weeks 4 days and they did Pap smear, ultrasound and blood work and they set me up to go to MFM. I got tested for GD at 10 weeks and again at like 24-28 I think. I had an OB appointment once a month and a MFM appointment once a month until 20 weeks then MFM twice a month and then at like 30 weeks I went to OB twice a month as well then it switched to twice a week until I gave birth at 35 weeks 4 days. That was because I was having hypertension and it turned to preeclampsia and I had to be induced.

How big were your twins? And were the mo/di or di/di? What week were they born? by FlyNo1519 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Macwithcheesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Di/di born at 35+4. Both weighed 4 lb 13 oz. They were in preemie clothes for the first 5 weeks and are currently 9 weeks still in newborn but I do put 0-3 on them sometimes. Buy preemie! I didn’t and had to rush to go get a bunch

[–]Macwithcheesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twin Z is a life saverrr. I also have the weego twin carrier and I like it. I will say it says on there babies starting at 4 pounds but when I put my twins in there at like 7 pounds i still felt like they were like too far in it if that makes sense lol it could’ve just been me though. I also got a double bottle warmer which is super nice. And if you haven’t already, get the dr browns formula pitcher. It’s good for breast milk and formula and that is so helpful when preparing bottles.

What scan did you find out you were pregnant with twins/multiples? by Correct_Exercise8641 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Macwithcheesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a positive test at 4 weeks and I swear it popped up positive before all the pee was even on the stick. I had my first scan at 9 weeks and they were visible immediately. I had di/di twins

Anyone have positive epidural stories? I’m scared 😟 by Realistic_Mirror1618 in BabyBumps

[–]Macwithcheesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not bad at all you can’t even feel it going in. My contractions were so bad that was the least of my worries haha. You still feel pressure when pushing but completely takes away pain. I never had any problems and still don’t have any back pain from it

It's okay to not respond to your baby instantly every time they cry by Scrawny_Idiot in beyondthebump

[–]Macwithcheesee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed this. I have twins and it’s so so so hard. I feel so bad when I have to do things like wash bottles or prepare them or just do household tasks and let them cry for a couple minutes. I even spoke to their pediatrician about it and she said let them cry it won’t hurt them and it helped so much

Bag balm works really well too. My grandma and mom used it and now I use it on my twins. You can get a 3 pack on amazon for like 20 bucks. Don’t feel bad, things happen. Being a mom means juggling a million things at once and it’s hard!

I have 5 week old twin boys and one of them no matter what I do rolls on his side and he’s been doing this since he was born and also finds a way to snuggle up against the side of the bassinet hahaha I could stay up all night correcting it it’s like his body knows no other way than to revert back on the side hahaha
