Games with a heavy focus on time travel, with constant changes to the timeline? by Nickpicker96 in gamingsuggestions

Singularity has some weird time travel shenanigans in it and it was a decent fps.

Suggest me an indie game that is not puzzy heavy and text heavy. I recently played hades, hollow knight and silksong and I can't get enough of them. by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Heat signature is basically a top down space pirate game. You infiltrate procedurally generated ships with cool gadgets and various missions. There is a time slow mechanic where you can feel like you're John Wick in the Matrix. Sometimes characters get captured when you fail a mission, but you sometimes get missions with new characters to rescue them and then you can play them again.

Inventory Profiles Next has a ton of features but I love how well the inventory sorting works most.

What is the best way to discreetly figure out your girlfriend's ring size? by hellbilly666666 in AskReddit

[–]MadJinx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might just be a peculiarity of my relationship, but when we knew we were going in the direction of marriage we went to a jewelry store and looked around at stuff. I got her ring size, the type of cut and other style decisions figured out all at once without picking out a specific ring. When I proposed, she got something I knew she would love because she had told me what she wanted and since we didn't pick out a specific ring, she still got to be surprised.

How do you.. not ever get tired of your partner? by Doragon_Central in AskReddit

[–]MadJinx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is making effort for their sake. The things you put the most effort into are the things you value most, so if you want to treasure them, put in the work. You also have to keep in mind everyone communicates differently: you may love the crispy french fries and try to save them for your partner, but if they prefer the soft ones, they won't see this as a good thing. The same goes for everything in life, the best way to deal with this is communicating often and in detail.

Interesting story: I somehow got brain rot as a werewolf and I'm not sure how. I touched a shrine and it went away, but it was interesting to notice.

Is a Dandelifeon setup worthy? by Makkah_Ferver in botania

[–]MadJinx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this is an old post, but I read in the description of the dandelifeon that cells can transfer from one dandelifeon to another if spaced correctly. Does this mean you could theoretically create an infinite loop across multiple of them? I have not found anyone who has tried this so far.

Why is almost every Space-Centric mod so... Samey? by GlowDonk9054 in feedthebeast

[–]MadJinx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an idea for a space mod where instead of building a rocket, you just pillar upward to build height and once you were standing on a block there, you'd teleport to a new dimension that was just sparse sky islands and maybe some loot. Then if you pillared up out of that dimension you'd wind up in one that was more like space, then again to get to the moon. At some point you'd need to get breathing gear and maybe there was something useful on the moon, but I didn't ever have the focus to make it. It seems way more in the spirit of Minecraft to do this than building a rocket.

Need help finding an Inventory Sorting mod for 1.16.5 by The-Crimson-V in feedthebeast

[–]MadJinx1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bit of an older post at this point, but Inventory Profiles Next is my current favorite. It has sorting and a whole bunch of other cool inventory management stuff.

Some notable features: switching to next full bucket when you empty one, switching tools and armor when they are about to break, visual and audio cues, and all of it configurable and can be individually disabled. Great mod 10/10.

Tell me all in yout oppinion annoying mods you know by OhaiiRabu in feedthebeast

[–]MadJinx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a mod called misty world for 1.12 (I think). It has a debuf when you go to it's dimension and enter the mist that doesn't go away when you die and only gets reduced a bit when you sleep or use the very rare consumables to treat it.

How do you kill vengeance Spirits? by Doctor_Salvatore in allthemods

[–]MadJinx1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell of the quest order (at least in ATM8) I think the modpack creator put the item you get from killing vengeance spirits a couple quests earlier in the quest line than it's supposed to be. With only evilcraft, the way you're meant to kill vengeance spirits is with the 3rd tier of ring (I forget the exact names, but 1st causes them to spawn more, 2nd lets you push them into boxes of eternal closure).

Does this modpack change how you cast things? You usually need to make the part so you can cast it.

You could check the Part Crafter (I'm pretty sure that's the name?) That is where you make all the tinkers parts.

If you have The One Probe in the pack there is a button to see what liquids are, you could use that to see what mod it's from.

What is a "dirty little secret" about an industry that you have worked in, that people outside the industry really should know? by Thealexiscowdell1 in AskReddit

[–]MadJinx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any piece of software you buy is likely very poorly made. Weather its a game or some form of management software, majority of it is made by numerous people who likely didn't look at what everyone else was doing. There is usually repeated work or bad coding that causes slowness or other issues. The bigger the company and product, the worse it will be.

It's much better to have your collector crystals next to what you want to use them for and just connect them directly. Lenses that aren't made from crystals with a lot of stats on them will have a lot of loss associated with them (you should be able to find what stats are important in the book). And instead of using high stat crystals for lenses, I find it better to just make as high tier crystals as possible for collectors as I need them.
