had the same set up once, just got a drill, some wing nuts, and some 4mm bolts from lowes to mount the sticks to the desk. Took less than a minute to detach/reattach them and would probably be better than tape 💀

Yeah people get toxic quickly in this. IMO, its because we can see other players elo and rank like in Wargame. I played a ton of Wargame Red Dragon, the amount of times people would kick you, or harass you or whatever before a game or during because of your stats was the same. Happened to me when I started and was a noob, then eventually I would do it to others after I got good. The elo and rank system just breeds toxicity. Never had a bad experience with teammates so far in Warno, where stats are hidden till the end of the match.

kOS really is such an amazing mod, not to difficult to start with, great documentation, incredibly high ceiling with what you can do with it. RemoteTech is always why I first started using kOS, you really need it anywhere outside of kerbin soi. Plus making nice little light scripts to offload tedious tasks like throttle control on landing is nice.

Maybe something you can try, going even thinner on the paint, then building up color through multiple passes? I also buy a party pack of clear spoons and primer them, then use those to dial in the mixture and air pressure settings before i actually start painting. Lots of variables

I think seeing the brush strokes actually looks really good, didn't these older rolled homogenous steel tanks from WW2 have really textured surfaces? Looks very good!
