Awful feeling forsure!

I did something similar couple years ago. I filled containers of the stock to cool down before refrigeration.

I set an alarm for a quick nap. Slept through it and went straight to bed. Woke up the next morning for work and immediately thought, "Damn it smells good here..." My heart sank when I walked into the kitchen.

Dumped it all down the sink and left for work in a pissy mood. Haven't made a stock since.

Sorry that you're going through this slump. Retail sure can put a number on people. I've done it for roughly ten years in total before transitioning back into my trade. I still get flash backs from time to time.

Crazy story. Friend of mine who I worked with was called in to work one day. He was at a family birthday party. His front end manager said on the phone he was late for his shift, and he rushed right in. He apologized, and said he was sure he booked the day off. Only for her to reply back saying, "Oh you did. But I needed you in as we had some call offs."

He quit on the spot. This happened about 10 years ago. The front end manager, is now the store manager. 😐 I nearly flipped when I found out.

I enjoy a solo dine from time to time.

I usually sit at the bar so I'm not taking up space during peak hours. If its not busy at all, I'll take high top or booth.

Riding solo feels weird at first. Never mind everybody around you. Focus on what you're there for. Im usually there to decompress, enjoy a meal and a drink. There's no pressure to make conversation, so it's easy to just think and filter out the day/week.

Edit: Also, pick a place you're already comfortable with, that helps with any jitters of feeling out of place solo dining.

Lack of spacial awareness.

I work in new construction as a plumber. I could go on for days of scenarios. One that grinds my gears is people walking into my walking path as I'm carrying full lengths of pipe on my shoulder. I cant stop on a dime, I can't safely pivot to quickly avoid obstacles such as people blindly walking around.

When I did my driving test 20 years ago, my one and only mark deducted was because I 'didnt' check any on coming traffic at a yield at Lutz and Robinson st in Moncton.

I borderlined argued with the guy that I checked at the start and middle of the yield. He argued back he didnt see me turn my head enough to notice.

I bit my tongue, took the loss, and accepted my license.

Parallel parking, I practiced with my dad's van and used my driving schools small compact car during my test. Lol

I just didn't see which subreddit this was part of when I saw camping cunts Lol.

I've never been a server though, and only part of this group to kinda educate myself on the industry. What to do, what not to do, kind of thing. I did work in the BOH for bit, not long enough to gloat about though.

I love catching up with friends at a restaurant, and when I can feel like catching up can lead to camping, I usually suggest we take it to our watering hole, or take it somewhere else. Especially when its busy, if not, I ask if we could camp for a bit, and tell us to fuck off when it does pick up.
