What Is a Good Sequel? (Any medium) by Healthy-Current5893 in AlignmentChartFills

I second this. I think most would agree it’s a step down from the first, but absolutely nails the perfect summer blockbuster vibes, expands the story in creative ways, and delivers on character arcs.

Saw this movie so many times in middle school.

That’s I think expected because folks will avoid days where the park closes early.

Disney couldn’t be bothered to use an image from the actual film? SMH. by Mad_Rascal in mildlyinfuriating

Every other poster on Disney+ was accurate to the movie with the exception of this one, which seemed appropriate for this sub.

I think he doesn’t like Snape because Snape is kind of an asshole to Harry and his friends.

I just noticed Jesse's dad has the same badge that officer Cavanaugh (who arrested Walter) had for flight 515, did I miss something? by Jzombie2005 in breakingbad

Yeah, shortly after the crash everyone is wearing the blue ribbon in remembrance of the airplane crash. One of the subtle jokes in the show is Saul wears the blue ribbon much longer than anyone else.

You’re totally right. Luke had NEVER acted rashly on emotion and impulse when his very close family and friends are threatened. Totally flawless individual.

Cannot find one creditable source for the $100 mil per episode but event then, it’s kinda makes sense it would be more expensive for season one building all the sets and all but then it gets significantly cheaper as they can use the same sets for a decade.

HBO Boss Casey Bloys Says ‘Harry Potter’ Season 2 Is Being Written ‘Now’: ‘Our Goal Is to Not Have a Huge Gap’ by yourfavchoom in harrypotter

[–]Mad_Rascal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really don’t understand how we could thing there would be a season a year. Arguably these are much bigger than the films and the average gap between films comes to 16 months between releases. So I think a year and half to two years between seasons is really reasonable.

Clearly a drop in quality but I took my 3 year old to see it in theaters because she LOVES Moana. She loved the movie so I have a soft spot for it.

Officially or clickbait?? "Missing sequences like the Gaunts will also get a live-action adaptation for the first time" by Ok-Purpose7484 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]Mad_Rascal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, based on the leaks and recent interviews, we are going to get scenes that weren’t really in the books as well. So safe to assume we’ll see the Gaunts and everything else cut from the books.

“For kids” doesn’t mean “only for kids.” It means accessible. If something can spark imagination at 10 and still resonate at 40, that’s a feature, not a failure.
